I don't think so.  I was shocked to turn on the computer and see 18 messages in my inbox.  I'm not really "around" today as DD is in labor!!!!!!!!!  She is ahead of her August 2nd due date, but today is my (late) mom's birthday.  I had "told" my mom weeks ago that if she ever wanted to show me a "sign", she would pull a stunt on her birthday.  My mom always knew how to put on a good show!

Anyway, I am happy that not only old and new members will represent these boards, but women of varying ages and mindsets as well!  

yay for getting a new grandchild.

I'm not surprised that those who were nominated weren't in many of the discussions. I wonder if they took that as challenging them and that's why they didn't choose some people in those discussions.

That being said, I'm thrilled with all the people that have said they got the letter. I think you'll all make great mods.

Not sure about 911, but WP has a bunch of crazies.    They are quick to jump to pull the "I'm a special snowflake" card.

You are so right, MissHart. I nominated about 30 people, a mix of old and new regs, and so far it looks like none of the people who questioned, snarked, demanded answers, poked at, mocked TK in any way, etc got selected. And it's hilarious that they selected several people who are barely even on the site. I'm glad at least some of my nominees got picked, though.

Of those who were selected, I'm really excited they'll be modding - very level headed ladies. There are several (mostly who have already posted on this thread) who weren't picked and I'm bummed about that. I share the same suspicion as @misshart00 and @AddieCake as to why....

Mods will come and go and will need to be replaced. Hopefully those who weren't picked in this go-around will be considered going forward.

Maybe those that weren't selected can come after the mod dinner.... you know, for the dancing part only. This way, everyone is invited haha
