September 5, 2015 Date Twins???

I think I only saw one date twin in the "Finally" thread but I may have overlooked a few.

So where are my date twins??

    Me!!! Ours was originally going to be the 6th but the venue double booked us, so we moved it to the 5th instead.

    Are you worried at all about people not being able to make it since it's Labor Day weekend? I'm planning to send out my save the dates pretty early since it is a holiday weekend.

    @lovesshoes30 - Hey there date tiwn!!  I actually thought that because it's the Labor Day weekend that more people would want to come since they would have Monday off.  Also I figure some people, if they are like me, would already be taking the Friday off before the holiday for an extra long weekend.  At the end of the day those people who really want to be there will come.  :-)
    I was not thinking to send out STDs but am now starting to change my mind for my FH's side since a lof of his family live outside of our area.

    I am hoping for the same thing with our guests - having the three day weekend will make it easier for the people who have to travel. I went back and forth on save the dates but his family is in Minnesota and we're in Washington state, so we have a lot of out of town guests. Totally agree though that those who really want to be there will come!

    Do you have your venue booked yet? We had our date set and venue booked almost two months before he "officially" proposed, so it wasn't much of a surprise haha!

    @lovesshoes30 - Yes the venue is booked.  I dared not wait to do that in my area and I am glad I didn't wait.  It's still a year out from the wedding date and when I went to look at their calendar they are now booked through mid-October of next year for Saturday evenings.  Most of their Fridays and Sundays are gone too!

    Me!! So funny that you had the venue booked before the official engagement, us too!! :) we booked the venue about 2 months ago, but this Sunday he's "officially" proposing. ( he thinks it's a secret:p )

    @LaurenBrooke1380 - that's cute :-) I think mine thought he was being super sneaky too but I totally knew. We went to the beach for my birthday and he was being so weird about packing separate bags that it totally gave it away that he had the ring stashed in there. So then the entire weekend I kept thinking "This is it!" ... "okay, no, THIS is it!!" He waited until the very END of the weekend of course.

    Yay for another September 5 bride joining us!! I of course think it's the best date ever :-)

    Ah! I'm glad we're not the only one "crazy" enough to pick this date! I've heard nothing but positive things from our families about getting married labor day weekend, which is the complete opposite reaction I thought I was going to get. 

    We'll be together 5 years on 9/4/15, and we didn't want to get married on a Friday. Don't have to worry about the venue, as we're getting married on my grandparents' property, but I'm glad I've started to book everything else (DJ, Photo Booth, etc) ! Wow! I thought I was getting ahead of myself, but apparently not.

    How's it going date twins?  

    The planning side is pretty quiet right now for me.  I do have a follow up meeting with my florist this Saturday.  Other than that nothing much.  Oh I do have my STDs but still not sure if I am going to send them out.  If I do, they will be out by the end of this year.

    Also a date twin! I was a little iffy on picking Labor Day weekend, but polling family and friends most people actually asked for it to have more time to travel. We have our venue, photographer, and DJ, as well as some other things like my dress and shoes. Save the Dates are here but I just have to get off my lazy butt and mail them!

    Me me!! We struggled with choosing that date as some people thinking choosing a holiday weekend is rude- but in the end it was the only date that really worked with our seasonal job and also not wanting it to be too hot for an outdoor wedding.

    September 5th in Connecticut! :)

    I am! We are getting married at Warrington Country Club in PA. When we booked I totally forgot it was Labor Day weekend! Our day is quickly approaching :)
