Planning a savannah, Ga wedding in August of 2015! I LOVE savannah but have only been there prior to my engagement so I didn't really scope out wedding sites. I currently live in Columbus, OH and am planning a trip to savannah to check out some wedding sites. Anyone familiar with savannah and have any recommendations?! I'd love to do something outside, as savannah is gorgeous. Any input would be so helpful :)

    We're getting married at The Mackey House in February. Gorgeous venue. There are several other historic mansions to get married at as well. Our other option was The Marriott Riverfront. There's also Tybee Island if you are looking in to a beach wedding.

    Of you are getting married in August, I do not recommend anything outside. The temps average in the mid to upper 90's with extremely high humidity that can make it feel like it is well into the 100's. It is also quite common for Savannah to have afternoon thunderstorms in August.
    Whitfield Chapel at Bethesda is beautiful. The Davenport House is great.
    For receptions, 10 Downing and Skylar's are fantastic and affordable.
