Bachelor/Bachelorette party help

So, me and my fiancée are deciding not to have a bachelor or bachelorette party for the simple reason that all of his groomsmen live out of state. Would it be okay if we throw a small party with our bridesmaids and groomsmen a couple days before the wedding so everyone can meet and still be able to have a little party??

You can always throw a party! But since it's not really cool to throw your own bach parties, I wouldn't call it a bach. I also wouldn't expect everyone to attend since they all live out of state and it sounds like this would be making things into a multi-day event. But by all means, throw a party!

Like southernbelle said, I wouldn't call it a bach--but a party for your close friends to get to know each other before the big day?  Hell yeah!
