Dress fitting (one photo)

So I thought my mom was taking a bunch of photos, but she only took one! Sorry!

I'm holding the top layer of the skirt up so that the woman can pin the underskirt of the dress. The top layer is covered in sequins and appliques, and so they can't just hem the bottom without also losing a bunch of the pattern.

Oh, and I forgot. They were asking me questions about what jewelry I planned to wear; I haven't decided on anything in particular yet. The woman was all, "I have the perfect earrings," and ... well ...

Huge, $200 earrings that looked ridiculous on me. They weren't even hanging earrings, but they were enormous and heavy. And while I'm not against mixing metals, they were yellow gold, and I prefer white metals. But really, if I love that style, I'm going to go to Claire's or something and find ones that look similar.

That dress is stunning, and I really love that shade of blue on you!

ETA: I'm such a creeper, but I keep looking at the picture because I can't get over how great that dress is. You are seriously going to be a knock out at your wedding. Wow.

As for jewelry, get whatever you think looks best. That dress is already so sparkly and intricate that I don't personally think you need anything too big or flashy. You could easily get away with simple, classic, inexpensive pieces because the dress already has so much personality.
