Has anyone else had this problem at Cristina's Bridal in Andover, MA?

Today I went to my wedding dress pick-up appointment, and the alterations were not complete. 

My wedding is in six days.

My dress was also not pre-steamed and there were stray strings all over the dress.

Has anyone else had this happen at Cristina's?  How did it work out?

I'd be grateful for advice and experience with this!

No advice or experience but I also got my dress at Cristina's...

That makes me nervous, because I have my second fitting there this week and I am already nervous about it! The dress was way too big, the lady who I bought the dress from suggested I order a size 8 even though my measurments mostly fell in the size 6 range except for my hip which was 1" bigger than the size 6.  She said you can always take a dress in, but you cannot take a dress out. So i ordered the 8 and here we are $900 worth of alterations later and I am so nervous it still wont fit!!

Were your alterations also surprisingly expensive?? I'm wondering if I should have gone elsewhere for the alterations, but too late now.
