Oct 11 Wedding - My To Do List

Two weeks ago, I was READY. Every little thing was planned out and done. And then I came here, and read everyone's lists, and I spent all day making mine, adding to it, not crossing anything off... just feeling like I'm in this big time crunch now with lots left to do. Here we go.
- need a wooden hanger - SIL has one but I need to get it from her
- make envelopes for final payments and tips
- try flower girl stuff on the FG/our daughter
- practice dancing with groom and dad
- have my ring cleaned
- get groom a card to go with his gift - can't find any at grocery stores or Target
- get his watch battery changed out as close to the wedding as possible so he doesn't notice
- make signs for the reserved tables
- get a final headcount to the venue
- get a final table count to the florist
- get a final timeline to the photographer and band
- make sure venue has cake cutter and server we can use
- make sure venue talked to outside decor company about centerpieces and lighting
- get the final pricing on the kegs for reception
- meet with photographer
- final meeting with venue
- get wedding photos from parents and in-laws
- confirm ceremony order and timing with officiant and coordinator
- remind my dad to get his suit dry-cleaned
- borrow or buy a steamer
- possibly get tattoo cover-up, not sure yet
- make an emergency kit
- enter passport info on airline site (suggestion from travel agent)
- confirm wedding night hotel reservation
- send thank you notes for shower gifts
- put a hold on mail
- stock up on cat food and litter for while we're gone
- clean the house
- update wedding weekend schedule for wedding party and whoever else needs it
- back up phone and computer before trip
- buy or borrow a waterproof camera
- buy luggage tags
- make lists or boxes of things I need to take to venue and things my mom needs to take

Holy crap. What a list, huh? I can't believe there's still SO MUCH TO DO! Wine time.

Re: Oct 11 Wedding - My To Do List

  • You can get a husband to be card at a Hallmark store. That's where I got mine. It will all come together.
  • @mlynch65 - thank you! Why I didn't think of a store that specializes in cards... is beyond me. I was about to just fold up some computer paper and borrow some crayons, kid-style.

I can't say I was ever READY, haha -- I've had a massive, running to-do list for a few weeks.  But its a lot of similar stuff to yours.  The most important thing, though: make sure you have your marriage license on your wedding day packing list!  And your passports on your honeymoon packing list, if relevant.

ETA: RE: massive to-do list, I knowingly procrastinated on a lot of stuff.  This should not freak you out haha.  I am behind compared to most people.
