Outdoor Venues in/around New Orleans?

I am brand new to theknot.com and have just started my search for wedding venues in the new orleans area. We are looking for something for an outdoor ceremony and outdoor/indoor reception. Obvious choices are City Park or Audubon Park but I was wondering if anyone had other ideas of places with pretty scenery in New Orleans, or in surrounding areas. We're not really into the idea of a plantation house, which is what is making our search so difficult thus far.

We will have 100-150 guests and the date will be in the fall Oct/Nov

Any tips are helpful! Thanks!

Rosy's Jazz Hall! You can have a ceremony in the courtyard and the reception indoor/outdoor.

A friend got married at the Riverview Room and had her ceremony on the rooftop terrace. You can see the entire French Quarter and River. Then the reception was inside.

Our wedding in february is going to be at the Riverview Room. As she mentioned above you can see the french quarter, its in the heart of downtown. Plus the ladies there are awesome with helping out as much as they can!

You might want to check out The Elms Mansion on St. Charles in the Garden District.  We had our wedding there Nov. 2012 and had a little over 100 people.  Ceremony was outdoors and then reception was both indoor/outdoor.  It's in a beautiful area of the city and gives a real taste of New Orleans history.

I just got married at the Elms Mansion this month and the outdoor area is absolutely beautiful!  We had indoor and outdoor bars and food stations, DJ set up outside, etc.  The grounds are impeccable, and they will give your guests a historic tour of the inside of the venue.  I'd highly recommend!
