Shooting and Digital Negatives ONLY Photographer??

Hello all!

So both my fiance and I are photographers and super skilled when it comes to editing and printing pictures, so we're searching for someone who can simply shoot the event and then provide the digital negatives at the end of the night.  Does anyone know someone like that?  Even if you just have a friend who is good, not even a professonal wedding photographer, I'd love to hear about them!  Also, our overall budget is tiny ($6,500) and would like to cap our photographer budget at $1,000.

Sorry but I think you'll have a hard time finding a photographer that will do that. Usually editing is part of their process and the editing reflects as much of their style as their photography. 

I would suggest trying to find someone on CL who is either just starting out or who has recently relocated to the area and needs to build a new network. I understand about the small budget, but since you are both photographers you know how valuable they are. Photos will help you treasure your memories for a lifetime.

I have friends who are probably going to do ours.  They do some editing, but give a CD of all of the photos within one week of the wedding.  They may even forgo editing if that's what you want.  Their website is www.lpegmedia.com. Good luck!

I am using Laura Nelson out of Eugene, She is traveling here to Mefore to do mine, she will take 6 hours of photos and then just give me the cd when finished, I think she edits them though, Anyway she is good you can check her out at http://www.naturallylovelyphotography.com
