Help with hotels!

I need help with where to stay for my wedding night in either Oakland or Berkeley. I read terrible reviews about the Claremont and need some advice. Also, where did people tell their guests to stay in Oakland/Berkeley? Thanks!!

Our wedding venue was over by the Oakland airport, so we chose some of the hotels over there. The Holiday Inn near the Oakland airport has some really beautiful suites. It's a new hotel, and all of the rooms were very well decorated and they have a nice bar/lounge.
