I often see questions about this on this board. I am one to jump up and say "give us old folks a photo" because I love pictures. My new DIL gave me a bracelet, the kind you can add beads on, which is something I never would have gotten myself and something I never wanted. BUT, she picked it out with all of her love and attention and now I will NEVER take it off. I love it and all it represents. So, moral of the story, whatever you give, pick it out with love in your heart and the best of intentions. Don't try to read somebody's mind, because you can't. I now keep a symbol of my son and DIL's wedding on my wrist all the time and it makes me smile a million times a day.
