HELP! Affordable Venue

Hi everyone, I am looking to get married May 2015 and I need help finding a venue, preferably outdoors but open to indoors. I am on a pretty tight budget and trying not to spend over $1500 on the venue. The venue would need to be in Atlanta or surrounding areas. I also prefer a venue where I can bring my own vendors. I feel like I have been looking forever and I have had no luck. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you all so much in advance!

  • I'd recommend the Chattahoochee Nature Center but I think they are still slightly over your budget for even a weekday wedding ($2000 for ceremony and reception). Are you able to stretch your budget at all?

The Chimneys at Big Canoe has affordable off-season rates if you're able to either push up your wedding day to late winter/early spring or into mid to late fall. However, you do have to use their caterer (Talk of the Town) who is EXCELLENT.

Maggiano's in Dunwoody doesn't list the actual event rental space but they offer a lot of different options as a banquet facility. Their food is delicious!

I'd also consider reaching out to some area bbq restaurants since they tend to be super affordable food wise and as a general rule are pretty delicious. 'Cue is one of my favorites. We used them for our rehearsal dinner that we hosted in my parent's backyard. The cost for full service (includes a server) plus all our entrees, side dishes, plates, utensils, etc. plus table and chair rentals for 40 was $1400. Everyone raved about the food afterwards. If you can host your reception in a local park they'd probably be an excellent option.

  • Are you looking for a place for just the reception, or also the ceremony? Here are some that I found in your budget:
The Solarium (that's where we're having our wedding)
    Roswell Historic Cottage
    Roswell River Landing
Saville Art Studio (but I don't recommend them)
