Leaving Friday for our scouting trip..... still nothing even really setup

Okay so we leave Friday morning for Vegas for our scouting trip and for that last 2 motnhs I haven't had a chance to do any wedding planning thanks to dealing with a broken foot and kids, and well starting a new job.

We are planning on doing an in-suite ceremony/reception using LuvBug Weddings. I really love the photos they have on their site and photo's are one of the most important items to me. It's what preserves the memories to me. Being that we are doing an in-suite ceremony I'd love to be able to see some suites however I am thinking it's going to be hard to get a hotel to let us see their suites.

Anyone have any suggestions on who to talk to at the hotels to hopefully get in to see the suites. I have a handful of hotels I want to check out thanks to these boards.

Hotels:
Planet Hollywood (Panorama Suite, Apex Suite)
MGM (Skyline terrace suite)
Mandalay Bay ( Vista, Media, and possibly the hospitality)
Cesear's Palace ( Emperors Suite ... I wish I could check out the Absolute suites but they are unfortunately all booked for our date)
Wynn -- I don't know about this one just because of where the hotel is located.\

Also, any suggestions on a suite that give a great view, with a large enough space to host ceremony and reception? We should have roughly 36 people total.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

  • Usually the group people are the best, don't talk to the normal hotel front desk or managers, they don't profit off the reservation so typically don't care.  I would have called in advance, and perhaps you still can.  Talk to either a group reservations person or even though you're not considering their chapels, call a bridal person and pretend you're going to use their chapel but want to see the rooms for honeymoon purposes.

  • Not sure if you are open to a little off strip but you could also check out Platinum.
    Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • Mandalay Day does suite tours at 2 pm at the concierge desk every day (not sure about weekends). We did it and it was great they take you to Vista, Media, and Hospitality.
  • Check out Hotel 36 a top of the Monte Carlo the Penthouse or the Loft. http://www.hotel32lasvegas.com/
The Orleans off the strip but heard good things about the suite
http://www.orleanscasino.com/meet/meeting-facilities/stardust-suite I wish I had known about them. And of coarse I'm gonna say look at the strip view penthouse at the Delano, the view is the one you see from the Mix Lounge.

Good luck and have fun! How many days do you have to scout?

  • A few ladies mentioned the Aria sky suites as well, may want to check them out!

  • Well thanks to me being sooo busy the last couple weeks I didn't get anything setup previously which means I didn't see much. Oh well. We had a good time in Vegas this past week though.

We did go see the Stardust room and we LOVED it. Just what we are looking for and I think what's all included it's what we are going to do.

I'm starting to get excited now that things are finally being planned. Just hoping to hear back from the Stardust soon so we can get this going!!!!!!
  • Who did you talk to to see the Stardust? I haven't ruled it out and will be there in 3 weeks so I really wanted to see it!!
  • All the rooms at the Vdara are suites.
