@GoldenPenguin It's my Friday too but unfortunately I won't be crashing @buddysmom80 's wedding as much as I would love to!

Tonight I'm finally getting all my cleaning done and doing some laundry. I'll go to CrossFit and then run to get some groceries for this weekend. We are having leftovers so I don't have to worry about cooking tonight besides some rice maybe WHOOP! We will probably watch ParentHood all night!

Tomorrow I'm taking the day off to get shit done. I'll probably workout in the morning and then vacuum all the Christmas Tree pine needles scattered about our house. I need to run out and get a couple birthday gifts for some of our friends with birthdays this weekend. Then we are going out for wings with some friends for one of DH's friends.

Saturday morning I'll workout and then do some much needed Christmas shopping with DH. Then one of my best friends is having a Romance party which I'm not a huge fan of but I'll go in support of her. DH is going to a Holiday Ugly Sweater party while I'm at the all girl bday party. 

Sunday we will probably continue our Christmas shopping adventures and I'm going to try to get DH to go for a run with me to help prepare him for his race in January.

I'm exhausted, at least my show opens Friday so it's one less stress for me.  H keeps snoring and waking me up at night, it's really annoying.  He is of course convinced he's not snoring.   I am looking forward to my day off on Monday so much.

today is almost my Friday!  I just have to come in for 4 hours tomorrow morning, so that's not bad at all.  I love my Fridays.

I have a TON to do tonight.  I'm hosting a cookie swap tomorrow evening, so tonight I need to:
-wash the dogs and get their cute Christmas scarves ready
-PIYO (for my sanity)
-buy Christmas stamps
-teach a piano lesson (thankfully only one!)
-bake 6 or 7 dozen Lemon Crinkle cookies for the party
-finish putting away laundry and pick up the house (it's pretty clean already!)
-shave (meh)

and then tomorrow, I have to:
-PIYO before work
-wash my hair (it makes my mornings so much longer because I have so much hair!)
-clean the front door, wipe down kitchen, vacuum the house
-get a manicure/pedicure
-have the house ready by 5:30!

and then Saturday, we have to get my tire replace and my car aligned, dress rehearsal for the Christmas play (I actually have to go so we can run over my songs, bleh), and get ready for H's company holiday cocktail party.  I am excited!!

Sunday is the Christmas play, lunch at my parents, and SLEEEEEEEP.

Yesterday I tried out my pressure cooker I scored on cyber Monday.  I made turkey breast (the kind you buy all marinated and boneless for the store).  It came out super yummy and was totally falling apart it was so juicy and tender!!  We'll be having leftovers tonight, new sides though.

Today - I work
Tomorrow - I work the late shift (boo)
Saturday we have my work's Holiday party
Sunday football day
Monday - my hookey-pajama-day.

Happy wedding weekend @Buddysmom80! I hope you have a wonderful wedding day and I hope all you NEY girls have a great time!

Last night I was a Christmas machine. I mailed all of my Christmas cards when I left work, went straight to the mall and finished shopping for FI, my mom and my sister, plus bought the rest of my wrapping supplies. I just have to get a couple of small stocking things, and send my mom or sister money for my dad's gift since we're all going in together on that. I also need to pick up something for my sister's birthday (she's a Christmas Day baby) but she just wants a giftcard to put towards a new camera; easy peasy! Once I got home I wrapped my gift for the gift grab at my office and made sugar cookies that I brought in today. All while watching the Santa Clause 2, which seems to be on every damn night!

Today I have a few things to get done at work, and then we're closing at 2:00 for Christmas stuff. We have a gift grab here and then we're headed downtown for dinner and a comedy/improv show. Yay for work buying me dinner and wine! I need to pass out my Christmas cards in the office today too; I wanted to get in early and do that but it's been snowing like mad here since about midnight and my trip in to work took longer than usual. Ah well. After our office thing I should stop at the grocery store and then maybe I'll get home early enough to wrap a few presents; they're all sitting in bags in my living room and I would like to clear that up!

Happy wedding weekend @buddysmom80 and I'm jealous of all the ladies going!

FI and I are going volunteering tonight. It will be good for my soul. Yesterday we had a power outage and in protest his cat (and yes I know it was his cat) peed on the only box that still had the power to make me cry. It had the cards my grandma wrote me through college as well as the bulletins from my grandparents' funerals in it. I have other things to remember them by and this is just stuff, but hot damn cat you are lucky I am not rehoming you because I understand we committed to you for life.

I talked to my mom about the hair and makeup issues yesterday and apparently the HS/MUA is the only one of my mom's friends she is NOT fighting with, but I was still told to go ahead and research alternatives. So there's that.

And supper last night was homemade split pea soup and you should all be jealous.

I can't wait for the weekend! So jealous of anyone that has tomorrow off. I have my first meeting with a customer tomorrow, so I will be stressing all day today.

I'm gonna run home on my lunch and do all my random scattered dishes, then tonight I'm making my specialty veggie lasagna! It's been at least a year now. Tonight we're having our friends and their awesome son over. My dog absolutely loves him.

I did make the tough decision last night to board my dog over Christmas. With the traveling and stuff, I'd rather keep more of a routine for him. They never put him in a kennel and he loves it there. But I bought him presents and a stocking! I'll miss him!

We are short staffed, and I'm uber stressed so idk how this will work out Stop at the bread store, dollar store, possibly go get my nails done Laundry Straighten my hair (the process takes me an hr because my hair likes to fight me at all turns) Catch up on top chef Tomorrow: Work Pack for weekend in Sarasota- bfs oldest daughter and granddaughter are flying in from ohio... So we are spending the weekend up there.... I don't know that I'm up for the craziness that is going to be all these people and two hyper dogs..... Drive 1.5 hrs up to Sarasota I'm hoping to hit up forever 21 up there since I don't have one.... I need more leggings and a couple sweaters that I saw online. I would've just ordered them, but I have two visa gift cards to use up, and the website is being an asshole since neither will cover the whole purchase....

Today is just Thursday for me. I wish it was my Friday.

Tomorrow will be a work from home day. I'll take Cinders for an early run and that evening we may be going out for dinner with my parents to our favorite bbq restaurant.

Saturday I told H I wanted to go up to North Georgia to go hiking and visit Dahlonega to do some Christmas gift shopping. Our engagement anniversary is on the 15th and our 2 month anniversary is on the 18th so I thought it would be fun to go hiking out by the waterfalls where we got engaged nearly 1 year ago.

Sunday I thought we were doing Christmas cookie baking with my mom and @southernpeach89 but now I am not so sure. I need to wrap presents and also finish up some shopping (only a couple people left to buy for!) and probably start to make a list for everything we need to bring with us to Indiana next week.

Today might be my Friday. I had an infusion this morning. Typically I schedule them on Fridays because within about 12 hours of an infusion, I get hit with fatigue so severe that I usually only get out of bed to pee (and that's like ... once we've reached critical needing-to-pee levels). So I'm making sure I don't have anything I have to do in the lab tomorrow, in case I wake up and am unable to get out of bed.

But omg my infusion ... TMI if you're squeamish about medical stuff, and feel free to ignore if you're like, "Eh, ain't got time for your whining this morning, hon."

The infusion center I go to has been really shitty about scheduling my infusions for me. They're supposed to make my next appointment while I'm having an infusion, but lately, they just tell me, "Oh, the person who schedules infusions is gone for the day, so you'll have to call." With all the wedding stuff (last infusion was Halloween), I forgot to call until this week and I needed an infusion around the 12th. They managed to fit me in at 7:15 this morning. Okay, fine.

So I get up at 6am so I can get to the infusion center on time and get there at 7:10. They don't have any beds available, even though almost no one is there, so they give me a chair (so I can't just nap during the infusion). Fine, okay, I'll live.

Then, the nurses don't get an IV in me until almost 8 o'clock. To make matters worse, they have a nurse who's an IV specialist, and he was all, "I can totally get the IV in the vein in your inner arm," and lo and behold he couldn't. He tried valiantly, which is actually really stupid because struggling to get it in means that now I have a really painful, swollen bruise. Thank god the nurse who gave me an infusion 2 weeks before the wedding did a better job.

He ended up going in through the back of my hand ... which worked so well that they didn't cap it off in time to prevent blood from leaking out and getting all over my hand.

Then, I had to wait until 8:45 for my infusion to start. We have to call in infusion meds the night before so they can be ready to go the next morning; otherwise, it takes an hour to get the meds. So why did I bother ordering my meds the night before if it STILL took over an hour? Because the infusion didn't get started until an hour and a half later than it should, I was--surprise--an hour and a half later to work than planned, and a decent hour before I'm supposed to be in.

Finally, just to put a cherry on top, after they sent me off, I realized that I had dried blood all over my hand from the IV insertion, and I didn't have time to wash it off till I got to work >.<

Lol... Bf is 40..... He had his oldest daughter at 18, and she had a baby a few months ago at 21.....

I am so jealous of you ladies who have the day off! I need it after this week, but I keep telling myself that I can get through until tomorrow and have the weekend, and then I only have a 4 day week next week and leave for a 2 week vacation! It will be to the frozen tundra that is Upstate NY but it's time away from work that will be spent with family and friends, and I get to see friends that I didn't get to see over Thanksgiving as well.

I was working until 9 pm last night again with people in China, but I think we finally finished our part that needed to be done, and now I can just email them instructions and they can do it while I sleep. So yay for mostly finishing a project.

Apparently the layoffs already started yesterday, and it is many more than the news article quoted, but they are mostly temporary employees. There will be a few hundred full time ones that get laid off, but I guess that is dependent on performance reviews, and while mine have not been A+, they have not been bad either. I am also working on something that the company will always need as long as we are in business, so I think I am safe for now. BF is working on a project that the company is hoping to recoup some of its losses from prior projects with, so we think he is safe too.

@alpacina Thanks. The infusions are for an antibody treatment for ulcerative colitis. I'm in remission in terms of my symptoms, but I have to keep up the treatment to stay in remission. It's more annoying than anything else.

I wish I had the day off today. Only 7 more school days until break. It cannot come soon enough! I've busted my ass this school year (hence why I haven't been around) and I deserve this time off. Just have to keep pushing until I get there...

Tonight FI and I are going out to eat with his family for his sister's birthday. So happy to not have to cook- but not thrilled about potentially being out late. His family takes forever when they go out to eat. I hope tomorrow is an easy day at work...I'm just too tired!

Tonight BF and I are going to the botanic gardens to see their Christmas lights! I'm so excited! This is my absolute favorite tradition of ours!

On Friday I have to drive an hour and a half to meet with my thesis adviser because she insists on meeting with me in person to just give me edits. It's so annoying but it gives me a chance to grab coffee with a good friend from my grad program so at least there is an up-side!

Friday night BF and I might get together with a friend we usually see once a week but haven't seen in almost a month due to all of us having crazy schedules. She's not my favorite person but she is BF's best friend so I make an effort and we usually end up having a good time. If we don't see her on Friday then we will probably do something on Saturday.

I am also really wishing winter would be over now. I was looking forward to it and then it came and now I'm remembering that I don't like the cold and snow! I want to go hiking and camping and be outside in the warm sun!

I may ask to work from home tomorrow afternoon... not sure yet. Tonight I need to run by the store to get stuff to make a veggie lasagna for Saturday's big Friendsmas shindig (I've got stuff to make a meat lasagna, but there will be 9 of us, so I'll need to make 2 lasagnas and figured a veggie lasagna would add variety), and I need to get frames for the engagement pictures we'll be giving to parents and grandparents as gifts. Tonight I'm going to make both lasagnas and freeze them, bake crackle cookies, and make the dough for snickerdoodle cookies. FI's definitely in charge of cooking dinner tonight :-P

Tomorrow after work FI and I are meeting a couple of friends and their daughter at a mall that does a big Christmas train display. We went last year with them and really enjoyed it, and we want to make it a tradition. They have the absolute cutest daughter too. She looks like Natalie Wood in the original Miracle on 34th Street, and she's so smart and well behaved. We'll grab dinner afterwards and give them gifts. Afterwards we'll head home, and I'll bake the snickerdoodle cookies and make some chocolate chip cookies. At some point the friends who are hosting Friendsmas will come by to get the lasagnas and our dining table (they just moved into a house and don't have a table yet). 

Saturday it looks like we'll be heading to FI's grandparents' house for a few hours, and then afterwards we'll do Friendsmas at our friends' house. I'm really looking forward to it! There's going to be alcohol, good food (I hope lol), gifts, hot chocolate (I bought a ton!), and great company. 

Sunday afternoon we're driving out to our other friends' place to see them and our goddaughter, and we'll do dinner and a gift exchange with them too. At some point I need to do laundry, bake a green bean casserole for our work lunch Monday (and maybe some roasted veggies? So far everything on the menu is super starchy and unhealthy), and grab normal day-to-day food from the grocery store for the following week... methinks I will need more than 24 hours in a day. I'd also like to start going back to the gym now that I'm off my antibiotics, but I don't know if I'll have time...

Next week will also be crazy busy! Monday we have my work Christmas potluck lunch, Tuesday night FI and I have tickets to see the Hobbit, Wednesday I'm meeting @audrewuh for drinks (yay!), and Thursday I'm going down to my hometown after work to help begin planning my 10 year high school reunion. The student council president sent me a FB message last night asking for all my info-- apparently someone on the committee nominated me to help, which is really touching. I was never super popular or anything, so I was genuinely surprised they asked me to help. I'd actually been planning to not go to my reunion at all, but now I guess I have to. :-P

Anywho, then Friday I have my surgery. I called the ENT's office today to see if they could give me a bit more information about it, and they said they'll call tomorrow with a quote, and they'll call the day before the surgery with a start time. Very strange. I guess they're waiting for the neurologist to compare my two CT scans from this year so they can finalize what they'll be doing during the surgery... no idea why the have to wait so long to actually schedule it, but whatever.

Anyone else exhausted reading this? Geez.

@buddysmom80 CONGRATS!!!! I'm so excited for you! I can't wait to see all of the beautiful pics and read about how wonderful it was.

@phira How long do you have to have the infusions? I hate that they take so much out of you. Your infusion story sounds like a horror movie.

@AuroraRose41 I'm crossing all appendages that you and your BF are not affected by the layoffs. I hate that they're happening this time of year, especially. Why couldn't they wait until January at least? Geez. I hope you guys have so much fun back home in NY! 

@IrishDreamer I had the same reaction as @Swazzle lol. Also, I hate when websites are STUPID with Visa gift cards. It drives me nuts. Hopefully you have a painless experience at the mall. This time of year malls are madhouses!

Also did you  guys know on mobile it will auto-fill people's sn? It's super helpful. I'm sure this isn't new I just super rarely knot on my phone!

@eilis1228 - On allrecipes.com I use the Hearty Vegetable Lasagna recipe as the starting point, but I add a layer of tomato slices in the middle, and put a ton more basil in it. I LOVE BASIL! And it makes it sweet, which is a nice comparison when I make one with meat and one without.
