2. It's company retreat this week which means that I more or less stop doing regular work in 2 hours for the rest of the week

3. It's almost Christmas 

4. We may get open PTO next year- meaning no one keeps track of our time off

Dog has a clean bill of health and finally gets to get his teeth cleaned and skin tags removed next week.  He'll be looking very handsome for Christmas!!

I switched our natural gas providers and cut our per therm amount by so much that I had to read it a hundred times to believe it.  And I feel really dumb for not paying attention to it sooner. 

I get to do the Christmas Eve food this year.  Usually my grandma makes chili and we do nachos, but my family will be at church this year (because it's Wednesday, not because it's Christmas Eve because evangelicals celebrate it as a secular holiday), so I'm going to grandma's house while they're out and getting everything ready.  Since they'll be home later, we're doing desserts and appetizers.  Very exciting!!

2.)  Going to allergist to see if I have a food allergy- it will be good to know one way or the other
3.)  Having tomorrow and Friday off
4.)  Going to Eataly tomorrow, and the Christkindle Market.  And to see the window decorations in the city.
5.)  Going to see the final Hobbit movie on Friday
6.)  Getting two whole days off with my fiance!

Well my friend just asked me to be her maid of honor so that makes me happy! I'm kind of in shock because we are work friends and haven't done very much social stuff outside of work. But I know most of her other friends don't live nearby (and might not be able to get military leave) so I'm excited to be there for her. And she's already being amazing saying she's going to buy the dresses and shoes and stuff. She hasn't even been on TK before and she's like "if I want you to wear specific crap I should pay for it". LOVE HER.

My BFF's husband's parents sent me a note thanking me for doing so much for their son's wedding and told me I was really kind and poliet and had great grace and tact. They also included some "thank you" gift cards and told me FI was a very lucky man to land a girl like me.

It was the nicest thing ever!

Guys. I had the maple grilled cheese. It was to die for. They gave us maple syrup in small cups to sip on while we waited on line. They also gave us maple popcorn with bacon while we waited. YUM. Then the maple grilled cheese sandwich was perfection, along with cider. I think I died and went to heaven.

I got a croque Monsieur once and they gave me maple syrup with it. I was SO SO SAD when they restaurant closed. I was going to make that a regular birthday lunch plan.

I can't begin to describe the amount of jealousy. Maple grilled cheese > the sorry little non-maple grilled cheese I had last night.

What's making me happy... 1. Had my dream wedding last Friday to my awesome H 2. H speaking to his father last night for the first time in 6 years 3. Both of my parents are kicking cancer's motherfucking ASS!!!! 4. Tomorrow is my baby girl's (dog) birthday 5. It's Christmas!!! 6. Watching my students recreate art by Monet and Van Gogh. It's adorable because they're only in kindergarten and first grade.

1. My manager gave me two days off to celebrate my birthday with my family. We went out to dinner last night. Mmmm margaritas!

2. I enjoyed the leftovers (shredded beef enchiladas with rice and beans) for lunch today.

3. I got to sleep in until 3 which never happens!

4. I'm finally going to put up the Christmas tree this year! I've been very neglectful these last few years just not bothering to but that's all changing now!

5. My Mom's boss asked me to help cook and cater a holiday party she's throwing. I get to shop and plan the menu, she pays. It's kind of awesome.
