Honeymoon in Japan...Where can I get a good price for a package?

Hi,

My fiance and I decided to honeymoon in Japan for Feb 2016. I've looked online for prices, but everything seems to be for next year. I want to set honeymoon in advance since we want to have enough time to pay for the trip. Any recommendations of where we can get a good deal? and any places we should or should not check out.

Thanks!

  • If you had your eye on a package, can you see what the price is for next year and start saving now accordingly?
  • What is your budget?
    When are you traveling?

Just an after thought.  Princess Cruises has just moved into the Japanese market.  English is spoken on board their ships.  The have two or three different tours.  These have been VERY popular.  Cruises are most inclusive (alcohol, tips and shore excursions are not included).

It is really too early to book a cruise for 2016, but this gives you an idea of what is available.

  • It will be hard to book for Feb 16 until at least March 15. airines don't sell tickets more than 11 months in advance, and a lot of hotels will only do 12-18 months in advance.

if you want a package rather than to set something up separately by yourself, i would find a travel agent.  they can give you a good idea of cost now (so you can start saving) and then book it for you as soon as that becomes an option.

if i were you, i'd head to the libray and take out a couple of Japan travel gides.  Read through and determine where exactly you want to go.  you can also get a decent idea of prices from there.  But i normally book everything myself unless it is very complicated.  The only time i have used an agent was my honeymoon to Southern Africa because multiple countries and several international flights were involved.  For just Japan, you would be able to do one flight and then take the high speed traineverywhere else you wanted to go, similar to raveling in Europe - i'd do the research and book it myself personally.
