I was naughty

And put on my wedding ring to admire it this morning...

And it got stuck.  Oops.

Have to take it back to the jewelers to have it resized... Good thing I was naughty :D *snicker*

LOL ... awesome! I love it when being naughty pays off! Wink
Mine's at the jewelers being resized because it's too big (I've got the hands of a third grader!) and I get it back on Tuesday!

I wish I had the hands of a 3rd grader, I have such man hands. My ring size is 9.25 - I told Chris if his was smaller than mine I wouldn't marry him. His is bigger, but only by 1 size :(

I wear mine out now and then. I figure it helps me ease into it.
I’m not a jewelry person so I had never worn a ring for 24 hours before (I decide not to do an engagement ring). Is it normally to have your fingers swell in the morning? I think my ring size doubles during the day. I also like to wear it with a chain as a necklace because my fingers cramp after typing all day with a ring on.

I'm a size 5 - and that's loose enough on my finger that I can take it off without killing my knuckle - but not so loose it flies off my hand!

And yeah Portland - mine's tight in the morning and gets looser after about 2 hours at the most! I'm like you - I didn't wear rings until my engagement ring. So it took some time to get used to! Now my hand feels weird without it!

I have pretty tiny fingers... but I originally got sized at like.. 6pm while it was super cold outside, so we made the ring at 5.5 and I think that 6 will probably feel a bit getter... that 5.5 was SUPER tight in the morning.  Right now, my engagement ring is like.. a 7 and it flies off sometimes. :(

I was lucky and was able to design my own ring with the use of my father's and mother's diamonds.. but I didn't realize I would swell in the morning. haha.  (my avatar thingie is my wedding ring *swoon*)

Because we used a local artist and he's in town.. he'll be able to get it resized for us in about a weeks time.

I'm definitely having trouble with the fingers shrinking and swelling thing!  My ring is size 4.5 and fits great when I'm outside moving around or generally warm - but right now in the freezing cold air conditioning there's an extra two or so millimeters between the ring and my finger - I'm afraid it could slip off!  Since it has never ever felt too tight, I'm wondering if I should have gone with a 4.25...

Can I be totally nosy and ask what you are getting engraved? Chris really wants to do this and I can't think of anything

LOL .. nose away. Usually I'm the one asking nosy questions!

We're having "RAWR 9-18-10" engraved in our bands. It's a personal joke (obviously!) between us and how we say I love you alot of the time to each other. We discovered this saying "RAWR means I love you in dinosaur" about 8 months ago. And we just incorporated it into every day life for us. It makes us both smile and laugh.

We just wanted to do something different other than our names and date. The other option was "Lots of OX's" and our date because that's how we sign all our emails!

How do you find an engraver? I've bought a bracelet and want to get the inside engraved for my future step son... but I can't seem to find much information.  I must be googling the wrong thing. :(

For an engraver .. I called a couple of local jewelry stores. There is a local guy here that does it and comes highly recommended. Fred Meyer - where we got our rings - does it but they ship it out and it takes 2 or 3 weeks. The local jeweler does it in a day or so!

My hands are really tiny. My engagement ring is somewhere between a 4 and a 5 if they would have been smaller they would have had to completley build me a ring. But it cost a lot to size. My FI always jokes about how expensive my hands are.

We had my ring made at David Frank Jewelers in Portland.. and my ring was pretty inexpensive (Not cheap, but not thousands of dollars).  If you're ever wanting to have rings made... I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them.  They have amazing artists who work with your vision.
