Lake Eola small ceremony, anyone know if you need a permit?

My fiancé and I are planning on having a small ceremony with only about 12-18 guests. We don't see the point of paying $100's of dollars for a space we only need to use for 20 mins. Does anyone know if its ok to just show up and have the ceremony?

No, its not "ok to just show up". You want to make sure the space you're looking at isn't already being held for another bride; that would be incredibly rude. As you can read from this article, there are over 125 large charities and events happening this year and over 400 smaller events/weddings.

Do things the right way; not only for you and the city, but so that way your wedding doesn't take place next to a large scale event and "ruin" your day.

Why not have it in someone's back yard?
