I was married in November. It was a super small wedding - strictly immediate family only - my parents and sister (plus her husband and kids) and his parents and brother (he didn't even bring a date!) We just wanted small. Many of our family members (not all) sent us gifts.
My closest friend (I was in her wedding - when she had three miscarriages last year I was one of a handful that was privy - I sent her an edible arrangement after her surgery for one of the miscarriages) never sent us anything. Now she's expecting a baby and there's a baby shower. I am very hurt that after 10 years of celebrating my friend's and family's life "achievements" that mine are hardly acknowledged.
It's not like I had a wedding with 50 people and didn't invite her or others, I realize that I had a small wedding - I just wonder how to let this go.
