Did Your Guests See You?

I for sure want to do photos before the ceremony. I was thinking Fremont street but I haven't found many photos that I am in LOVE with (compared to strip photos). For those that did pre-photos, did any of your guests see you while you were out taking photos? Did it ruin "the moment" at all?

Clearly I am getting close to the big day and am starting to worry about small things haha

  • As a guest, I would rather the bride and groom have their photos done first, so I can spend more time with them from ceremony to reception. After all, I'm there for them!

    Just my two cents.

  • There's really not that much on Fremont to shoot.  There's a few of the Neon Museum restored pieces scattered about, including the wedding information sign which is next to the Fremont casino, but they're only really good for dusk or night shots.  We did our 1 year pics on Fremont and Neon Museum and there's only a few from Fremont itself.

  • A few of our guests saw us before the wedding, while we were walking from the first-look location to the wedding ceremony location. It wouldn't have been an issue if the venue would have opened their doors a little early but...

I mean, yeah, I think it's weird for them to have seen us at all and especially together, before the wedding. But after that wore off, I think that everyone really appreciated that we were able to get the party started very quickly.

Most of our guests had never been to anything other than the standard traditional wedding, so there were lots of things very different about ours. As the weekend went on a lot more people were able to start going with the flow a little better, and this is just one of the examples.
  • My fiance didn't want to see me before the ceremony, so we planned really well so that he'd be in the hotel room still while I left the hotel. Of course, I didn't plan this with the rest of the guests, and every single guest except the groom and his family saw me frantically leaving the hotel!

I was a little upset at the time that I didn't plan it better, but it really wasn't that big of a deal.

  • Thanks! I will just do my strip photos and be happy and not let it bother me :)

I'm gonna do a group shot at the "Welcome to Vegas" sign before the wedding for timing reasons. Because of this, everyone will see me before the wedding. This will be "after" the first look though with the groom.

That kind of makes for a hilarious story after the fact, though, and definitely is a special memory!
