Re: How many?

  • Good question...I would like to know the answer to this as well.
  • This didn't happen at my wedding. I did have some guests that sent their RSVP as a yes not show up. Which aggravated me, but it will happen. But I didn't have a guest that sent a no show up.

  • I agree with PP.  I didn't have anyone just show up although there were several who RSVPed yes that didn't show up.

  • We had 2 people (husband and wife) whom we called over and over to find out if they were coming, since we never got their RSVP.  One of the groomsmen even left 3 messages... so we marked them as a NO.  Then, the day of, we saw them sitting in the church and they came to the reception.  Thank goodness we had about 20 people not come who had replied YES, so there was plenty of room for them!
  • I didn't have anyone show up - or not show up who had rsvp'd yes.  We did have one cancelation the morning of (he missed his flight), but at least he called.
  • We had several who said yes but did not come, but none who showed up after saying no or who showed up without having been invited at all
  • We did not have anyone show up without being invited...although we had SIXTEEN say they would come and not show up.....grrrrrrr.  That's 1600 dollars we could have spent on something else.

We did have one interesting situation.  My daughter invited a couple from her office, who RSVP'd yes.  They did not show, but another couple from her job came and used the first couples escort card.  Totally random.  Did they talk and say, "hey I can't go...you go in my place"?
My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
