Hey guys, has anyone had their reception/attended a reception at the Metropolitan Room in Newark and/or Oakeside Mansion in Bloomfield?
I just wanted to know what you thought of each place and if you've had/attended a wedding there what your experiences were?
Also:
- How was the service -- has anyone worked with Amy (Oakeside) or Maria (Metropolitan -- she said she's new and has only been there for 6 months)?
- Did you have any out-of-town guests? How did they feel about driving in the area/did you provide shuttle service?
We're thinking about having about +/- 150 people with a lot of out-of-town guests (mostly from the Tri-State area but likely a good chunk from the Midwest and possibly the West Coast). We'd only hold the reception there and the date is the first weekend of May.
I visited these places yesterday, and they're our top contenders. Price is about the same when you include everything (there's like a $950 between the two, according to our math).
