@TwoDimes - Thanks! I can't believe we're already at 40 weeks. No progress today...but we'll see! DH is going crazy with anxiety. I'm actually pretty calm and just going through regular day-to-day stuff...but for DH's sake I hope this baby comes soon! haha.

@speakeasy14 - I've BEEN walking! I have an ultrasound today...i'm hoping they say "you're ready to go, let's get you over to the hospital". BUT, i'm guessing they won't. I haven't had any contractions yet that I can tell.

So I'm probably going to start hanging out over on this board more often. If you had posted this in another board you would have gotten a 2 page argument about sex vs. gender and how you used the wrong term!

H's dad took his mom on a bumpy motorcycle ride to induce H to FINALLY come out. Apparently it worked.

She rode a motorcycle while pregnant?! On a bumpy ride?! That does not sound safe!

I never said it was safe. Just effective.

ETA: She was also 2 weeks past her due date. I think they induce you nowadays when you're that late but she wanted to do whatever she could to get the baby out...so motorcycle ride it was!

I have tried the following:

• Sexy Times
• Accupuncture
• Pineapple (but then I read you'd have to eat like 7 pineapples for it to be effective and decided that would probably make me sick before it worked!)
• Lots of walking
• Went to the mountains yesterday (apparently altitude can help?)
• Sitting on a yoga ball
• Spicy Food (though it just gave me reflux)

One of my goofy male coworkers even tried to scare me "BOO!" at the office this morning. I kindly told him I did not have the hiccups. haha. Apparently Baby G is happy right where he/she is at!

Baby G and I had a good chat this morning that eviction is scheduled for Thursday night...so if you want to come out on your own you'd better do it soon! Kidding of course, but we did schedule to be induced this Thursday night...with baby to come most likely Friday if nothing happens before then. Still hoping for baby to come on its own though!

I recommend binge-watching "Call the Midwife." At least one baby born every episode and those midwives are NOT to be messed with.
