Can I get a witness?

For those of you who eloped or had a private wedding and needed a witness or two, how did you handle that? Did you invite two of your closest? Grab two strangers to sign? Ask your photog(s)? We're trying to keep this as simple as possible.

    When I worked in the islands I was a witness to a bunch of elopements.    Once the couple was friends of a friend who flew down to visit the friend.  While at happy hour the day before they asked if the friend and I  could witness their wedding.   They took us out do dinner afterwards.

    Once I was on the beach and a couple asked me.   I was in my bathing suit.  Ha.

    Most of the other ones were a result of me crewing on the boat.






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    We had the photographer and wedding coordinator serve as our witnesses. We didn't arrange anything ahead of time or ask them. They just did it!
