    @minskat30 - H and I have a Breville juicer we are trying to get rid of, hint hint.

    ETA:  I get my comfy PJs at Target and Old Navy.  I have a TON of PJs.

    @swazzle @twodimes @cu97tiger- All your outfits sound adorable. I also want a beachwaver.

    @cu97tiger - Fingers crossed your basement makes it through the storm withouyt any more water leaking in!

    I'm thankful for @minksat30 for starting the fitness goal for September. I hit my goal last night, and this is me celebrating with my dog: image

    ETA: Why does she look less than enthused?

    I'm thankful it's almost the weekend.

    I'm thankful I have zero plans this weekend!

    Last night I didn't do much except run and watch Real Housewives. It was glorious. Tonight is my 4th laser hair removal appointment and then I might have a phone date with one of my bridesmaids.

    I got back on the diet bandwagon yesterday and am trying to lose 6 pounds by Halloween. Fingers crossed! My weight today is about 3 pounds higher than it was 2 weeks ago and  I am crossing my fingers and toes that some of that is water weight. I know I didn't eat well when FMIL was here, but I also ran every day so I would be surprised to put on that much actual weight in that time. We will see. I'm downing water like nobody's business today.
  • @labro - LOVE that! So sweet and adorable!
  • @labro I love that, you're so creative!

    That's right! We can have a full on competition when your sister has her baby I suppose. ;)

    @everyone else THANKS!! You are all so sweet!!!

  • @swazzle I love your hair, especially after using the beach waver.

    @CocoBellaF glad you aren't furloughed! Feel better!

    @southernpeach89 congratulations!

    @cu97tiger I hope that the hurricane isn't too bad either and that you don't have to deal with more water in your basement.

    @beachyone15 I am glad your headache went away! I can't wait to see the wreath! I need to find some halloween DIY decorations too now that we have a house (that we rent) in a neighborhood with kids!

    @minskat30 I definitely count you (and everyone else here on NEY) as friends. I have told FI this multiple times, that I actually feel closer to many of you then I do to some of my friends IRL and can't wait to meet you!

    @labro that is adorable! What a special way to welcome them both home!

    @jenjen047 congrats on hitting your goal!

    Nothing too new here. My period is kicking my butt today and all I want to do is lay down on the couch and binge watch PLL on Netflix, but I came into work anyways instead. Maybe I will leave early. I will see how I feel in a few hours. FI was nice enough to drive me in today (the perks of working at the same company). Blahhhh.

    Warning: potential TMI ahead.

    I'm even more annoyed that the new Always Infinity pads that are supposed to be even better than the overnight pads are still not good enough for me :(. I was really hoping that I could use just one of those instead of wearing two overnight pads to sleep. Guess not since I leaked overnight. Back to two pads at night :(. The joys of having a bleeding disorder.

    I keep staring at pictures of my shoes. I cannot wait for those to be finished!

    I did have something else really awesome happen yesterday, but it is career related and I don't want to share it from my work computer. I promise to update you later from a personal computer.

  • @aurorarose41 not sure if this will help, but I was getting a horrible rash from Always and other big name brands -- brought it up to my gyno and she said those pads are bleached which was why I was getting a rash.  I switched to organic products like Natracare and Organyx now and haven't had any issues.  My mom also made the switch and she uses their overnights because she also gets it extremely heavy, and hasn't had any issues.

  • @labro you're going to make your sister cry in best way :') you're too sweet!
  • @beachyone15 - Yup, diagnosed when I turned 30.  I've always had gastro issues but they went to a whole other level when I hit 30.  I freaked out when the doctor called me back with test results (good news = no news in my opinion) and sent me for biopsy.  Biopsy confirmed, goodbye gluten. :(  We had a gluten free cake at our wedding thankfully though.  That's nice of you to make sure your cousins had a meal.  I've been to many a wedding/rehearsal dinner where I just had wine and wine on an empty stomach isn't the best idea.  ;)

    @speackeasy14 - I had honestly never heard "gluten friendly" before this.  Its basically, "we use the same space, same boards, same mixing equipment, same ovens as the gluten stuff...oh and our flour isn't guaranteed gluten-free either."  So then what the hell is it?!?  Just an excuse to charge someone a few bucks more?  Pisses me off.  Don't get me wrong, I'm glad gluten-free is more popular because now I have more choices but with it being trendy no one takes it seriously as a disease that can actually kill you in the long run.

    @cocobellaf - What don't you like about your juicer?  H thinks its going to be a waste of money so I'm trying to get informed.  I wish we had a Target or an Old Navy close by but we don't.  :(  I think I need to just order some stuff online.

    @jenjen047 - LOVE that picture!!!!

    @swazzle - Last Hunger Games?!  I love those movies (and the books).  Again, I wish I lived closer to some of you to go to the movie...H hates the movies but he has no taste (other than in his choice of wife and dog).  ;)

    @labro - CUTEST, KINDEST, THING, EVER.  That is all.

    @aurorarose41 - Right back at ya, sister.  ;)  I'm sorry about the leakage. AF sucks.
  • @speakeasy14 I had no idea! I normally don't get a rash that I know of, but I might switch just because I don't want bleach down there!

    It's mainly just heavy bleeding that I will always have to deal with, but it is more controlled on BC than it was before I was diagnosed. I just wish it was more normal sometimes.

  • Vent ahead -  I just found out FI is going to be away until Sunday afternoon. I'm cranky about this. His mom was here for 10 days. She left Sunday and we got to spend Sunday evening together (really he watched football while I played with my phone). Monday night he was at work all night, Tuesday we went to dinner with my parents and I fell asleep right after. He left Wednesday morning and won't be back until Sunday.  So 1 evening together in 2+ weeks. What the fuck.
  • @jenjen047 BF does that a lot. We only see each other four times a week and sometimes he forgets to tell me when he is going away for fencing tournaments which happens a lot in the fall. We used to fight about it all the time when I first moved here. Its really annoying. Sorry you've got to put up with it :(

    Happy Friday Eve!!

    @swazzle - Your hair looks great! I love the color!

    @CocoBellaF - Yay no furlough.

    @KeptInStitches - Name misspellings suck. But at least she got the Doctor part right. My first name is constantly misspelled and pronounced wrong. Its Chelle (pronounced Shelly).

    Ugh I'd kill for fall weather right now. Today we have a high of 104. Yep, it still summer here :'( But I'm still wearing jeans and a sweater because my supervisor keeps the office so damn cold.

    I had a 4 hour training session today for a new computer program that my work is going to starting. This has been in the works for over a year now and has become a royal pain in the backside.

    FI and I are going to a wedding this Saturday for one of his former co-workers. This couple has been together for like 10 years and they kept saying "oh we are getting married next year." I told FI, I'll believe it when I see the invitation. When FI got the invitation, I was actually surprised. I'm excited and so is he. It should be fun, but I'll let ya'll know after the fact.

    I got my hair done last night. I love it. I'm back to being blonde and violet. I'll post pictures later haha.

  • @minskat30 - We loved it!  But we just don't use it now because I've really pared down the time spent in the kitchen.  We used to juice every morning, I just hated the chopping and cleaning up in addition to making morning shakes and a dinner every night, KWIM?
  • @untouchablets - Thanks. It can be a point of contention with us too. I don't mind him going away for work, and he is away Saturday night for a going away party for one of his close friends that is moving back to Ireland permanently (it's a boys-only night at a casino in CT), so it's not really that I mind him being away as much as I just feel like when he's back we will need to make up for lost time. Instead, he will feel like after 1 night together we are back to normal, if that makes sense.

    I know, this is what I'm worried about.  I already have a ton of time I spend in the kitchen.  I've pared down dinner because I make it for the week on Sunday but still have breakfast shakes for H and I'm worried about yet another thing to clean.  I might test out doing all my chopping on Sunday too so it would just be a matter of cleaning the blender and the juicer after I make H's shake and our juice.  Not sure yet though if its going to add a bunch of time to my Sunday routine (which is already painfully long).

    Okay so since I am finally home....I had another recruiter reach out to me on Linked In. The fruit company was a contingency plan in case I got laid off, but this company that reached out to me would be my dream company to work for!

    I love the work that they do, and I think I would feel really passionate about my job. I sent him my resume and we are setting up a phone call for next week!

    Since I do check this at work sometimes and don't want to give too many searchable terms....let's just say they were all over the news yesterday for a biodefense air system button and are named after a really cool scientist that I admire greatly.

    I jumped up and down and screamed when I saw that they messaged me. Fingers crossed for this one!

  • @aurorarose41 - That's awesome!!! Congrats!
