I made my list based off of what was on my wall calendar. The main thing I was missing:

Our 3 year dating anniversary!

Although there are no plans yet, so I'm not surprised I kind of just forgot about it, haha.

What are you looking forward to this month?

Spending the weekend with Elle this weekend, then going to see @cu97tger, @beanbot2002, Hazel, and Jen, along with some other non-TK friends later in the month. Oh, also finally booking airfare for our NYE vacation!

What are you not looking forward to this month?

Dealing with my mother and thanksgiving plans. She wants to come to Christmas, too, but I've been explicit with her from the beginning (almost 6 years now) that H's family gets Christmas. It's going to be painfully awkward enough this year without her there to make it worse. 

Do you have any plans for Thanksgiving?

Going over to my aunt and uncle's for dinner. I love that section of my family. I'll also finally be going home and seeing friends.

What are you thankful for?

The friends that have shown me such amazing support this year. It's been a nightmare with all this stuff with H and my friends have remained supportive, even if they didn't always agree with the decisions I had made. 

Favorite fall food?

Pumpkin beer. That's a food, right?

Favorite Thanksgiving food?

The green bean casserole is a must. 

Name one thing about someone on NEY that you really appreciate.

I love the whole community of NEY, especially that you guys are still cool with me lurking so much and posting so little. I really am appreciative of @alpacina et. al. for planning a GTG! 

What do you value most about your life?

My career is really important. My job is kinda eh, but the work I do forces me to constantly examine myself and my short comings, making me (hopefully) a better person and less of an asshole. But I think I value the love of my friends (and friends that are better than family) the most. 

What is the funniest thing you remember about a Thanksgiving past?

My cousin is two years older than me and significantly more bossy. One thanksgiving when she was 11, I was 9, she wrote a detailed play about welcoming in Christmas. She had her neighborhood friends written into some parts, but they couldn't come over (duh, it's "family time"), so she split the roles between her and I and we put on the play for our family. It was a hot mess, as you could imagine.

I appreciate @labro, @southernpeach89, @eilis1228 and others for coming into NEY at a time when I was sure I was done making any new friends on here and showing me that I should always have my heart and mind open to new people. Y'all are the best!
