Wedding Dress shopping

Hi ladies!
Where do you recommend for shopping for a wedding dress? I really don't want to spend more than 1200.... Any suggestions in the c western suburbs area?

I'm not sure where it is in relation to you, but I know a lot of former posters used to rave about the Crystal Bride in Geneva. 

When my daughter looked for dresses, she emailed several stores, both local and chain.  She said her price point was under $1,000, and asked whether or not it was worth her while to browse their selection.  Stores were surprisingly honest.  One store in Barrington basically told her she would be wasting her time, (and theirs) unless she was "lucky" enough to find something on their sample/clearance rack.  Other stores were much more receptive.  In the end, the response from the emails also gave my daughter an indication of the potential customer service at the stores.
