I need a new coat. I need a good, warm, every day coat (I live in Chicago and plan to move to Montana) that can also be good for winter Bears games.

Suggestions?

I have this LL Bean coat.   l love it so much I've asked for another one (3/4 length) for xmas.    DH even bought one for himself.  He likes it better then his Patagonia one that is similar.

I am a huge Patagonia fanatic. I have never been disappointed with any of their products. Their coats can be pricey, but they're well worth the money.

Although I'm in TX and don't often need warm coats, I'm a huge fan of Lands End (http://www.landsend.com/shop/outerwear/?cm_re=hp-_-outerwear-_-20151109).  They almost always have a promotion going on (right now it's 30% off everything).  And they have a great return policy.

Mine is North Face. It has the outer shell and the inner shell which come apart and can be worn as 2 separate jackets. It's made for skiing/ snowboarding so it has neat elastic around the waist to keep snow out and stuff like that (that is on the inside so nobody else can see it/ the outside falls straight like a normal coat).

My warmest coat is the LL Bean Baxter State Parka.  For not-as-cold days I have the LL Bean Rugged Ridge parka.

I have 3 Lands End coats on order currently because I'm looking for a longer one.

Yesterday was 40% off - part of why I have actually 4 coats in 2 sizes, so EIGHT coats coming my way!  One is a fall jacket, so I didn't include it in my post above.

I love the look of coats and jackets and I am going to LOVE shopping for them in a few years when we start planning the big move. I bookmarked those sites for future reference!!
