RSVP on theknot with Guests that have plus ones

Ive been trying to upload my guest list on the knot for my guests to RSVP.Ive been messing around with the RSVP to see how it works. Im figuring out that the guests I allow to have a plus one, when they type their name to RSVP it only counts the guests plus one and not the actual guest. Does any one know how to properly have guests with plus ones rsvp so it will rsvp for them and their guest instead of just the guest?
