@southernpeach89 - Holy crap! I'm sorry to hear about DHs accident but am SO happy to hear no one was seriously hurt.

@untouchablets - I enjoyed the first 3'ish seasons of PLL and then it totally jumped the shark for me. Now I just read updates and spoilers. Shhhh, don't tell @swazzle or @goldenpenguin.

@minskat30 - While I'm sad you had to cancel your trip, after what I read this weekend, I'm glad you did. Little minskat needs to be born 100% healthy!!

This weekend was good. My BFF cancelled on me Friday afternoon, so DH and I spent Friday on the couch watching Making a Murderer (we finally finished it and I want to strangle everyone in Wisconsin that had anything to do with that case). Saturday I had lunch with my friend, then went for a run and @tuarceatha and Mr. Tuarceatha came over for some drinks and dinner. 

Sunday and Monday were no big deal. Crossfit both days, and lots of sitting in front of the fire.

I finally got my medication list for my IVF cycle and it is OVERWHELMING. I don't know what half the things are/mean so I'm reaching out to some people who have been through it before. DH has a two week work trip in the middle of it, which luckily won't interfere with the timing but is definitely going to mean I have to give myself shots. YUCK.

Oh, and we're expecting anywhere between 2 and 4 FEET of snow on Friday/Saturday. Ha.

Good morning all! 

I was luckily off work yesterday

My weekend was pretty uneventful. I spent most of Saturday cleaning the house and doing the laundry which felt good and productive. 

I've been binge-watching The Affair which I just finished and it is SO good, the finale was crazy and I already can't wait until season 3 which is sadly not until the fall. 

H and I also started watching The Wire which we'll continue when we have the time and I think we'll get a ton of that series done after his foot surgery in couple weeks and I'm home with him playing nurse. 

Tonight I have a Devils game and that's really all I got today.

@speakeasy14 It takes AAs. The panel says to change batteries yearly, so hopefully its efficient. Still freaks me out. I was planning to get a Nest thermostat because I like the idea of being able to check or set it from my phone, but I've read mixed reviews about those. The friends I know that have Nest thermostats love them though.

@swazzle - The Wire is a GREAT show. DH LOVED it and got me into it. Apparently some people say it is the all time best TV show EVAH.

@TwoDimes We actually just use a dome top charcoal grill and a small metal smoker box for wood chips/bowl of water/coals inside. I guess it definitely limits us on how much, But it did fit 15 lbs worth of pork shoulder yesterday!

@cu97tiger - That's what I've heard and I've been dying to start it for so long. I'm glad we finally found time for it. I think we watched 4 episodes on Sunday. It was a little weird though because the guy that plays McNulty is the same guy that plays the lead character in The Affair which I was switching back and forth with all weekend.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! H was all about that first picture....something about "the bark". I dunno. It must be a man/grill relationship hting.

@labro You used the little smoker box? We have one of those! BF made ribs with it last summer that were AMAZING. I never thought to use it for pork! Was it within reasonable WW points? I need to tell him to try that!

@caseface5 I feel like it was 3 points for 3 oz (mixed fat and meat)? So not too terrible...as long as you leave out the sauce, and the bread, and the side dishes.... Just eat meat!

@minskat30 Really sucks that you had to cancel the trip. But I'm thoroughly impressed with your getting money back skills. I know those are usually impossible with hotels/ airlines. Do you have any of those indoor water parks near you? You should bring H there for his birthday to splash around and feel tropical lol.

@blue&white Wow I am so sorry, you and him and all your families are definitely in my thoughts.

@wink0erin Yea we have an outside faucet in the front near the garage and the shutoff if in a crawlspace on the inside of that wall. Do you have a basement? Did you parents always leave the water dripping like that? Honestly here in MA nobody does that. Mostly because all our pipes are in the basements which are insulated. I think that's more of a southern thing to do where the pipes run outdoors. Good catch on the thermostat, also LOL to "got down to 66" because we keep ours on 61. But there was a time in the old house when the furnace died in the middle of the night and we woke up to a 46 degree house!!!!

@cu97tiger good luck with all the IVF stuff!! Also hope you don't find this super creepy but you were in my dream last night. You were my co-worker and you were like "look what my H bought!" and came riding into my office on a riding mower showing it off. hahaha

@speakeasy14 LOL H and I do that almost every night. "We're going to do so many chores!" and then we promptly sit on the couch and watch Netflix all night. I've learned that once I sit down on the couch, I'm not getting back up.

I really wish it were still the weekend. Yesterday @audrewuh and I were talking about how to get out of work today. :-P I really just want to be at home in my PJs and reading on the couch in a burrito of blankets.

This weekend was so nice. The perfect mix of fun and relaxation. On Friday H and I were lazy and ordered pizza and watched Kingdom of Heaven. He's been dying to watch it for a week or two now, and I'd never seen it, so we decided a movie night was necessary.

On Saturday we ran a bunch of errands and boarded Zoey for the night. We went to a local fancy bowling/arcade place to celebrate H's birthday that night. We tried to call ahead and reserve some lanes, but they said it was first come first serve. When we got there we were told it was a 3 hour wait for lanes. Say whaaaaat?! So we ate, drank a lot, and played in the arcade. We never did bowl. Some people had been waiting close to 4 hours for lanes, so we decided around 11 to just call it a night and head home. 

On Sunday we went to H's favorite Indian restaurant for lunch, grabbed some mini cupcakes at one of my favorite bakeries next door, and then picked up Zoey. I don't really remember what else we did Sunday, so it must have been really lazy.

Yesterday @audrewuh and I spent the day together. She came over around 1 and helped me finish up a really cool quilt top, and then we went to a local quilting store where we promptly spent waaaaaay too much money. I have so much fabric now it's ridiculous. Afterwards we picked up her BM dress for a wedding she's in this March, and she looked AWESOME in the dress! Then we came back to my apartment, sewed until H came home, and then we all 3 went to Joann's for a few things, McAlister's for dinner, and PetSmart to pick up Zoey (she spends every Monday at doggie day camp so she gets socialized and worn out). It was a really fun day, and I got quite a bit done on a quilt that was supposed to be a Christmas present (and still isn't finished). 0_0

Today I'm back at work, and tonight H and I have Zoey's last puppy training class. We'll start her intermediate training classes next month. Apparently she's already grasping some of the more complex concepts that will be taught in that class, so H and I are all

@jenna8984 My hands go numb if it's set below 70, hahaha. I'm a wimp in the winter. I have a basement (which is warm) so I imagine my pipes would all be fine. My parents always open the sink cabinets and keep a drip going in the winter and have never had an issue. I have no idea what they do for the exterior faucet. I figure I could ask.

@cu97tiger I've snuck onto TB before and read some stuff about IVF a couple years ago. You are more than the bossiest boss woman ever, and I know you can totally do it!!

I finally finished up my class last Friday, which means I'm officially done with certification classes. I still have my psychosocial evaluation and to sit before a committee before I can go in front of the bishop for *actual* certification, but I have a whole year to get that ready.

I found out during my class last week that I can start my masters in April and be done by summer 2017. So, that's going to be a thing that happens. I'm kind of stupid excited about it. I've been so full of excuses about getting a masters and I looked those excuses in the eye and said, "shove it!"

Being gone a week and a half has meant my dogs are on the struggle bus. Their separation anxiety is real, so now that I'm home, they have to be by my side all the time, even when I'm sleeping. Needless to say, I've been woken up every few hours each night by at least one dog begging to break the "no dogs in the bed" rule. I finally cracked this morning around 3.

I picked up my BM dress for Bridezilla's wedding in March. Other MOH and I have decided that our friendship with Bride is over the minute the reception ends. But, here's the dress!


I also went and got my hair dyed a bit yesterday. It's supposed to be a bright purple, but we'll see what it looks like today. The color was a little uneven. Have you ever asked your hair person to do a touch up on color?

@wink0erin I feel like we had some weird requirements from certain utility companies too but I don't remember anymore. They probably want to check and make sure you're the actual owner, maybe they don't allow renters to set up individual accounts?

@swazzle some parts of the affair were filmed in my town! Their crew came to Starbucks and pissed me off all the time by ordering 20+ drinks during the morning rush.
