Good morning! Callie woke up an hour earlier than usual this morning and was just talking. We didn't go and get her since she wasn't crying but it was hilarious listening to her from the monitor just babbling in her crib.

Dad is still working on our ceiling, the mud isn't fully dry yet and will probably take the whole day today too before he can sand it down. 

Tonight I'm training with my team for my first CrossFit competition next weekend. I'm so nervous because I'm still not where I was prior to becoming pregnant so I hope that they aren't expecting me to be back to my old weights yet. We will see how this goes.

I'm here!! Trying to get shit done so that I don't have to do anything tomorrow morning. I have a half day tomorrow and then I'm off to NH for the weekend! 

I went and got the paint last night so we have it to start getting ready for the couch. Tonight I have to go home, do Zumba, and then pack both myself and Tess up for the weekend. 

I weighed in this morning and was only down .1 pound. I was a little bummed, but then BF reminded me that last time I had a small loss, that the next week was a big one! And also a loss is better than a gain! So I'm happy. Just have to stay on track this weekend when I am away!

@southernpeach89 Thanks!! I have to keep telling myself that. I had a goal weight that I wanted before Chicago, and if things keep going the way they have been I will meet it before the end of the month!

@caseface5 - A pound is still a pound.  Maybe next week it'll be a little more.

I am so ready for the weekend!!  I have to teach right after work today (like, I'll be walking in the door a couple minutes before they start arriving).  I have been going to bed at 7:30 every night this week, so I can't imagine tonight will be much different.  What a waste!!

@caseface5 - A loss is a loss is a loss!  That should be celebrated.  Weight loss isn't linear...your body is funny that way.  Have fun at Zumba!

@southernpeach89 I can't believe you are doing a Crossfit competition already!  That is seriously impressive.

Full day at work today...day is off to a great start though.    I worked out yesterday at the gym even though I wanted to sleep so I'm proud of that...and I watched my sugar intake yesterday.  Hopefully today I can do equally well (minus the workout...we have to go see another daycare after work today).  I hope this daycare is nice.  It is only 2 1/2 miles from my work and smack dab in the middle of a 5 mile walk I sometimes do home in the summer.  Fingers crossed. 

Plumber is also coming today to finish a few things off...this weekend should be full of construction once he is done.  We need to finish the drywall, mud and maybe if we are really good with time we can start tiling the floor.  We will see.

Good morning! It's very quiet in our office this morning; a lot of people out sick. I'm so ready for this weekend. I've been struggling to get up for work everyday this week. I ran a few errands last night so that this weekend will hopefully be nothing but rest and fun things, like brunch and manis with my BFF.

@southernpeach89 - Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great!
@caseface5 - That's awesome! Still an accomplishment.

@caseface5 - A loss is definitely a loss! I'm down 1 lb this week, which I'm ecstatic about. I know it will take ages for it to go down, but it's nice to see a little progress.

@southernpeach89 - Good luck on your competition! Are you going to do the Open? You should!!! It's only $20

AFM - Yesterday I emailed my boss that I would like a substantial raise, along with the reasons why. We have our 1:1 meeting at 1:30 today. I'm a bit nervous, but mostly because I want to be able to respond intelligently to whatever her response is, and I don't always think quickly under pressure.

@southernpeach89 I told Cinders this morning alllll about how she gets to hang out with her cousins all weekend. She is VERY excited....just an FYI.

Today is my Friday!! Once work is over H and my parents and I are leaving for waayyyy south Florida (nearly to Miami) to visit my great aunt and uncle. My great uncle turns 80 this weekend so we're celebrating his birthday and their wedding anniversary! I can't wait to see them. They are like another set of grandparents to me and we don't see them often so I really appreciate these little visits. This is my first time actually going to their house too! No work til Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@everyone Thanks for all the encouragement. I actually only lost 0.1 pound, not 1 pound, but that's okay, I gave myself a moment to be bummed and have moved on. Now to focus on keeping the scale moving in the right direction and getting healthy!

I'm still in the throes of the cold from hell. I took yesterday completely off and am WFH today, which means I'm laying in bed doing work on my laptop, surrounded by cough drops and tissues. Gross. I'm really hoping that I feel better over the weekend as we have a lot planned.

Last night we went to my mom's to celebrate my brother and sister's birthdays.  My brother's birthday was yesterday and my sister's is Friday.  Callie was so excited to see my bf and I.  At one point I was sitting with my sister on the couch and Cal jumped up and sat on my lap.  Then she rested her head on my sister's belly, which caused Emmy to kick her a bunch of times.  Didn't even phase Cal. Maybe she will be good with kids.  We also watched a bunch of home videos from when my brother was born.  My brother was a premie, born at 26 weeks.  It was amazing to see how tiny he was and to know that Emmy is already bigger than he was. 

Not sure what the plan for tonight is, except I'm making parmesan spaghetti squash bake.

Not much yesterday. Matt was home so he made dinner, spaghetti and sauce. Idk how he made the sauce because last I knew we didn't have any .... oh well, it was delish!

Today makes my 3yr anniversary at my job I look back at when I started and am amazing I stuck it through. I knew I adored my coworkers, but the actual job was hard. Especially since I started in the middle of tax season, which isn't easy and it's busier than normal because people are in and out of the office.

It's funny, 3yrs later and I've decided I'm going to look at a course to move up in the company. I'd essentially do my job still, but ability to do other things.

Not too much to report on my end. I'm so glad the weekend is almost here, even though we don't have anything planned other than packing. We move one week from today! I'm taking next Thursday and Friday off, and then I have the following Monday off for President's Day. Woot! Also, since I work from home every Wednesday, I'll only be in the office two days next week! 


I have to get allergy shots today, and I'm pretty sure they'll cause me to get sick. My allergies have been awful lately, even with all my meds. When I've gotten allergy shots when my allergies are bad in the past, I've gotten cold-like symptoms for a few days afterward. Let's hope this time is different.

I'm going to work out today! It WILL happen! I keep saying I will, and then I never do. Today will be different! 

I wish I could take Zoey to the gym. I would totally train her to work out with me.

I'm happy today because my director looked over my case yesterday and found a couple things to look into with more detail, so I have something to work on in the meantime. She usually doesn't look at reports until closer to the final due date and it ends up being a crazy week of frantically trying to get things figured out. This way I have more time to do it at a leisurely pace. 

I started watching Downton Abbey last night. So far I like it, yet I keep seeing some of the characters as characters they've played in other series/movies which leads to some funny backstory in my mind. Like Professor McGonagall leaving Hogwarts to stay at Downton Abbey disguised as a muggle. 

My plan for today is to tidy my apartment a bit, I think I'll go home at lunch to start on that. A friend of mine just moved into a new house and her place is spotless, which bothers me because my place hasn't been spotless since I moved in. Organizing is hard.

We watched most of the movie "The Right Stuff" last night, and it honestly bummed me out that I didn't work harder to become an astronaut like I wanted to be as a pre-teen. It's not like I couldn't work for it now, but I picked the wrong engineering field.
