Morning!  @speakeasy14 - Cute, cute, CUTE is all I have to say.  

Today I have a doctor check up!  24 weeks officially tomorrow but this is my 24 week appointment essentially.  I'm THRILLED to be at the viability stage for a decent survival rate outside of the womb.  Obviously I want Ani to bake quite a bit longer though.    She was kicking up a storm last night as I tried to go to sleep.  I think she was dancing around because of (a) all the jelly beans I ate and (b) the fact that Rajah kept singing the song of his people all night.   

Got a great workout in yesterday.  Hoping to get yoga in today for lunch and some cardio after work.  Not sure if I'll be able to squeeze both in though.  

What are you wearing today? Black and white polka dot dress...pretty boring.  I was in a rush today.

What do you wish you were wearing today? My PJs?  The outfit I was wearing yesterday was really cute...should have taken a picture.

What's the weather like where you are? Crap.  Cold and wet, snow and ice on the ground but mushy snow.  Blech.

Where do you wish you were right now? St Lucia.  Sigh.  I hate zika. 

Are eyebrows considered facial hair? I never pondered this question.  I guess they are. 

When you're traveling, which arm rest is yours? I usually try to get the window so whatever one is by the window is mine...I leave the other one for the middle seat traveler. 

What's the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup? More sugar and salt?  I have no idea.  I've only had normal ketchup.

What's the weather like where you are?
Rainy and gross.  We had snow and freezing rain last night, so the roads were a slushy mess this morning.  Its supposed to be in the 50s though so it'll all be gone by noon.

Where do you wish you were right now?
In bed snuggling with my bf, or on a beach like @TwoDimes

Are eyebrows considered facial hair?
I think they're an in-between of hair and facial hair, in their own category.

When you're traveling, which arm rest is yours?
Right, if I can get it.  If the person isn't a stranger, then I'll just lean on them.

What's the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup?
Nothing except the bottle.

Last night DH picked out a car! We are getting a Honda Pilot! It has some things that need to be repaired but overall we are getting a great car and I'm so excited we found something we both like. 

We are hiring a tax accountant to do our taxes this year. Normally we use Turbotax but one of DH's coworkers recommended her financial adviser to us and he is giving a discount to teachers so we are meeting with him on Friday to do all that fun stuff. We have a lot of deductions this year so it will be nice to have an expert go through it with us.

I'm wearing black dress pants and a maroon sweater from LOFT with black flats...nothing special.
What do you wish you were wearing today?
A dress because I want it to be warm out and I'm tired of wearing pants.
What's the weather like where you are?
It's cold and rainy. It was supposed to get some snow yesterday but nothing happened so it's just ugly outside.
Where do you wish you were right now?
Definitely somewhere warm and sunny so we could play outside.

I wouldn't say they are lol. At least I've never heard of them considered that before. Are eyelashes considered facial hair?
When you're traveling, which arm rest is yours?
I'm dumb...on a plane I use the one to my left or whichever one the person next to me isn't using.
What's the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup?
Fancy ketchup I think is more vinegary vs normal ketchup which tastes artificial but I eat it anyways.

The outfit I wore yesterday! Leather heeled booties, skinny jeans, a soft tshirt, and a leather jacket. I felt so stylish lol

At day 2 of the dog show! Unfortunately I have to work though

I have never considered them facial hair but considering the fact that they are hair and on your face I guess so?

I don't know, I've only ever had the normal kind

My weekend was okay! I didn't see BF on Saturday, so I worked and then caught up on some school work since I haven't really been applying myself this term. On Sunday BF and I went to our favorite mexican place for dinner, and we got each other concert tickets! I got him Walk the Moon tickets for a show at Hammerstein Ballroom in July, he got me Fall Out Boy tickets at MSG on my birthday in just over two weeks! I am SO EXCITED because I've loved FOB since I was like 13.

Yesterday I went to the Westminster Dog Show!!! I didn't go to the group judging at MSG, just the breed judging at the piers. I met my breeder there and we watched the poodles, our favorite didn't win the Standards but the winner of Crufts in 2014 did and he is a nice dog. I liked the winner of the minis too. By the time we left at around 4 I was SO tired, I don't know how people stay all day and then go to the group show at night. Next year I am taking both days off so that I can do it! My breeder and I have agreed, Westminster 2018 we will both have dogs compete, mine in Agility and Rally and hers in Conformation! Its a definite possibility, and I love having a big goal to work towards!

Today is a crappy, rainy, icky day. I'm working tonight, but several of my students won't be in because they will be away with their families for their "February break" so it will be a quiet day.

Back after a long weekend!  Didn't do too much over the weekend, except went fishing yesterday at a pond with my parents.  I mostly just sat and let my bait chill out in the water, but I caught two little fish!  And got a really cute sunburn (not really).

Benny the smallmouth bass.  For this little guy, I got out of the car, my dad gave me a pole with a worm on it, I threw it out there, and within 10 seconds I had a fish.  Fastest catch ever.

It was amazing to just sit outside, be out of the house, and enjoy the fresh air.  I only threw up in the grass once.

We met a daycare last night and one this morning. The one last night we really loved, the one today looked like crap compared to it. So we have 5 more next week but the first will be hard to beat.

What's the weather like where you are? 50 and rainy, which is nice since it has been negative 10 lately...speaking of which, Celsius makes so much more sense. Like if it's 40 degrees below the freezing point, it makes more sense to say it's -40 out, rather than -10 out. You know?

I wish I had exciting things to talk about! If I can escape from work today for a bit I hope to hit up a couple of local flooring stores to check out their selection and maybe schedule some bids on new carpet. I'm making pot roast in the slower cooker  slow cooker (loling at different levels of slow cookingness!) and I cannot wait to eat it all tonight!

What are you wearing today? At the moment a giant sweatshirt and pajama bottoms because I had 8 am meetings and haven't gotten ready for the day yet.
What do you wish you were wearing today? I plan on wearing a white and navy striped sweater from the Loft with jeans later.
What's the weather like where you are? Sunny! And it's going to be 56! We've been stuck in this cold ugliness for awhile now and I'm SO SO SO freaking glad it's going to be in the 60s by Thursday!!!

Are eyebrows considered facial hair? Oh my....well. Yes. Because eyebrows should be perfectly maintained at all times!

What's the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup? Fancy ketchup has very few ingredients - tomatoes, vinegar, salt, and pepper, and normal ketchup has all the extra unnecessary stuff.

@untouchablets - Yup, we settled on Aneka/Anika/Aneeka (not sure how we are spelling it just yet) but she'll be Ani for short.    I'm so insanely jealous of your day at Westminster.  I only caught the second half of the show when they were on the working group so I missed the Great Pyrs.    

@southernpeach89 - I am NOT going to pee myself (I keep telling myself over and over and over again)....lol.  Alright, well, maybe I will but I will do so with dignity and a Poise.  

@cocobellaf - I'm glad you enjoyed the outdoors!  Amazing what fresh air can do!

Morning all! I had such an awesome long weekend with H, I was majorly sad to come back to work today.

Friday night I went out for "one drink" with my friend and we ended up splitting 3 bottles of wine. Our husbands had to come get us and I ended up puking fajitas at home. Oops.

Saturday I dragged my hungover ass to the bank to combine my account with H's. Then I got laser hair removal and we went to dinner at my friend's house (same friend from Friday night...we have a new go-to couple and I love it!). I was falling asleep by 10 so we headed home and H went out with the guys and I passed the F out for 11 hours of sleep. It was amazing.

Sunday morning I woke up to this adorable display outside our bedroom door!
H totally had me surprised and blown away by the thoughtfulness of his gifts! He had to work for a little bit in the afternoon, but then he came home and I made cheese and chocolate fondue. The chocolate fondue was more caramel than chocolate, so that was a fail.

Yesterday we were both off so we went to breakfast and I got a pedicure. Then we went home and made a fort in the living room and binge watched TV all afternoon and evening. It was perfect and much needed!

Today I am feeling incredibly bloated and gross. I need to get my ass back in gear. I don't want to go near the scale!

What's the weather like where you are? Low 50s, which is a shock considering it was like -5 on Sunday. It feels grossly warm.

@minskat30 actually the working group is today! You can watch the livestream on the westminster site... they compete in Ring 6 at 12:45, and they will be competing for best in show tonight!

Back to work today for a short and very quiet week. It's school vacation but the central/business office is open so I'm one of the few here. Yesterday was a Holiday for us and Friday is a half day so it's not too bad.

Friday night I went to the medium with a friend and we had a good reading. My friend actually grew up with the medium so we stuck around afterwards and chatted for a while. It was nice. 

Saturday BF went to help his friend move, so I went shopping with my mom. I got some good deals so I was excited about that. I got home in the early afternoon and BF didn't get home as early as we were both hoping he would. Turns out the kid wasn't even packed when the other guys got there to help him move. Thing is this is very typical of this guy. I was peeved at first, but moved on and BF and I went out to a very delicious dinner. The wait at the restaurant was insane (hour and 20 minutes) but we chatted with another couple and it helped to really pass the time.

Sunday we woke up and I gave BF his card and small Valentine's gift. He responded "Sorry meant to get you a card yesterday and didn't have time. I'll get you one later." So we went grocery shopping and then went and saw Deadpool, then got back to the house to start painting and it really hit me that he couldn't even bother to get a card. We fought, and he eventually went out and got one, but I'm still not sure how I feel about it. But I really don't want to get into all that so moving on!

We got to painting and I am happy with how it all came out. So here are some before and after pics!

The one that is between BF and I. I usually get the middle seat so I take the one we share.

I'm not sure on this either, but I'm not really a ketchup fan to begin with. I only really like it on really HOT french fries.

@minskat30 if you've made it this long without peeing, you're lucky! My sister has been unable to control her bladder anytime she laughs since around 20 weeks.  At Christmas she told us to just give her depends, now forget about it.

@jenna8984 - I didn't feel a thing for a loooong time.  I think it was some flutters for a while but the first solid kick was right around week 18/19 I think (I wrote it down in mine and Ani's pregnancy journal but I forget what it was ETA @cocobellaf - wanted to answer your question too).  Then I didn't feel anything again for a while. I have an anterior placenta so its blocking most of her kicks too. Hang in there, soon you too will be having a party in your uterus and wish it was quiet down in there in the middle of the night.  

@untouchablets - Yeah!!!!  Maybe I was watching an old episode then of Westminster.  So excited for tonight!

@jenjen047 - That.Is.Adorable.  Your H is really cute with his gifts.  

@labro - Are you getting carpet quotes from Home Depot or Lowes?  I always wonder how their carpet is and we need to carpet the basement to finish it off (we don't have carpet anywhere in our house right now so I have no experience getting carpet quotes or what the cost will be).

@caseface5 - I LOVE the color!  Really nice!  I'm sorry you guys were fighting a little on Sunday.   Honestly, H is bad with gifts sometimes.  He remembered a card but he was shocked when I had a card and a gift for him (tea pots he wanted)...he said "we don't get gifts for Valentines Day" except I do get him something small...every year...sigh).  I let it go because we had a great day putting the crib together.  I'm glad you guys were able to move past it and still have a productive day but he owes you a random card/flower gift and you can tell him I said so.

@labro We have thought about crown moulding! BF also was thinking about doing moulding in the middle and doing a two toned wall. My step-dad did all the moulding at their house, so maybe I can rope him into doing ours!

@minskat30 I'll probably get a carpet quote from both. My dad had new carpet put in their office and living room recently by HD and they were very happy with them. My dad picked out a nice foam for underneath and the carpet he picked was on sale for 20% off so I think he got a pretty great deal! I'll PM you details once I get an idea of everything.

@CocoBellaF I had an anterior placenta as well so I started feeling flutters and small movements around 19-20 weeks.

@labro Yes chair railing, lol. I knew it had a name but it was escaping me. We have the beadboard in the bathroom and pale yellow on top. We might also revisit it all in the future because we really love the location of the house, and the yard and neighbors. So with all that, we want to stay in this house long term, and when we grow a family the size wouldn't work, so we've talked a lot about adding a second floor. If we do, the living room would become the dining room and we would think about making the wall between the kitchen (and then dining room) a half wall. We were just trying to get the living room done quickly to get the couch in, so it's been a real rush job.

@labro & @minskat30 we got our carpet from HD. We purchased during one of their free installation deals, and since we had no carpet, the only additional cost were the steps.  Carpet was installed in June and we haven't had any issues with it.  The carpet we got isn't their high end, but not the cheapest either.  I can get a better idea on pricing later.

@caseface5 Love the color of the living room! It looks very similar to my mud room and guest room!

My first for-sure movement was the day before 18 weeks.  I have a low-lying placenta so I guess it wasn't in the way!  It's only been once or twice though, nothing consistent.  I'm kind of glad...  a few more days of peace and quiet!

Morning ladies!

I just skimmed everyone's post today, but I'll get to catching up later. Quick update on weekend!

Whole weekend was cold AF -40 with windchill and yup, same Fahrenheit as Celsius.
Saturday we braved the cold for early vday sushi dinner with a gift card we got for xmas. Opted to just go home at watch a movie instead of anything else. We picked up "The Martian" not long ago, so we watched that and vegged out.

Sunday we went for lunch at an Indian buffet down the street for Matt's grandpa's bday. BIL brought his gf, and I've only met her a few times but we like her

Monday we were off and went for breakfast with my mum, then she came over later for dinner. Tacos!
Matt kept mentioning we should bring marriage certificate on trip since it's our honeymoon and they may way proof we're actually married.
We found it, but for awhile I could not find it at all! We're putting it with our passports until we come back.

Friend of Matt's calls ... him and his gf - who were suppose to move in together March 1st - ended up breaking up. He wants eventually to have kids, she apparently doesn't. I think it was straw that broke camel's back, they almost split before the wedding anyways.

Today is a wicked snow storm, 25-35 cm of snow plus ice pellets so we'll see how long I'm at work. At least I can throw laundry in when I get home and have it done early!

@MissKittyDanger ugh good luck with the snow! And I can't believe how cold it's been by you.  I saw reports all weekend that people couldn't start their cars and other issues because of the cold.

Amen @cocobellaf - I was really excited to feel the first few kicks.  Around week 21 she really started to kick and I was all "that's great baby but I'd like to sleep".  Then she goes radio silent for a day or two and I'm all "where is she?!?".  Then she kicks my bladder at 10 pm and it is both a "thank God" as well as a "WTF, baby".  So pretty much I have multiple personalities.  Can't win in pregnancy, can't win.

Today I have class all day...luckily I managed to structure things really well this week so I'm not lecturing for 6+ hours.  I always feel super proud of myself when I do that!

Yesterday I went for a run after work, and it was EPIC.  I went 4.3 miles...I hadn't run that far since October 2014.  And it felt great.  After my run I went to yoga, so today I am taking a much-needed rest day.  After work I'll probably go home and either read or watch TV for a little while and go to bed early.  I don't get home until 8:00 on Tuesdays, so it's a looooong day and all I ever want to do at the end of it is drink a glass of wine and sit on my couch with the dog.
