Hartford City Hall, CT

To brides looking for updated information:

Hall rental cost $500 (check payable to city hall). Most reserve the hall all day to allow plenty of time for set-up. No deposit is require, just pay $500 the week of the wedding. Kejuan will send you a contract to hold the date. You'll also need a insurance policy which roughly cost $100. Provide this to city hall the week of. Chair rental runs about  $500/ to seat 100 people... All depends on what you rent and who you rent from.

The artwork is non-negotiable and must stay up. Kejuan does allow you to cover them up with fabric if you wanted to. City hall does get very warm. It does not have A/C. You'll be responsible for the Audio system/speakers but outlets are available. A security attendant will be onsite directing guest and preventing non-guest from entering.

And as you read in other post, Kejuan is difficult to get a hold of but be persistent. He could just be a very busy guy.  Schedule a weekday time to meet with him in person and go over wedding details. Good luck!

Is this an ad for a venue in Connecticut?  Why would you post this on an international board.  @KnotRiley , maybe you want to move this to a local board???
  • Thanks so much for the info. We are we thinking of city hall for our March 2017 ceremony and reception. Did you have both there? We're there any other obstacles, fees or things that we should know? Were you happy overall?  Thanks!
