Are you having a full mass?  If you are, then you could write:

    Mr. and Mrs. John Doe
request the honour of your presence
at the Nuptial Mass uniting their daughter
    Ghostie Marie
    and
    John James Smith
    son of
    Ms. Jane Smith
    Mr. Michael Smith
In the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony

    @CMGragain, care to check, please?

OP, I believe no year is necessary on invitations.
Can I also add, your church gets high kudos for offering its parishoners a Saturday evening mass option.  I thought we were lucky having a 3:00 PM mass option!

    Thanks!

I'm not sure yet if we're having a full mass. Originally we were planning on just the ceremony because FI is Greek Orthodox, but after talking to our priest last weekend he said FI could receive communion so we have to decide if we want to change our plans. (I guess it would be nice to have it count for weekly mass. Most of our guests won't care but I know a few who are very vigilant about the mass obligation.)

And yes-I feel very lucky to be able to do it that late, especially since a lot of our guests have to drive 2-3 hours! It's nice knowing that they have the option to drive up day of and still be able to check in to the hotel and get dressed after they get to town! And also be able to have an evening reception since both of our families like to party.

  • For full mass:

    Mr. and Mrs. John Doe
request the honour of your presence
at the Nuptial Mass uniting their daughter
    Ghostie Marie
    and
    John James Smith
    son of
    Ms. Jane Ann Smith
    Mr. Michael Joseph Smith
in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony
    Saturday, the twenty-fifth of June
    two thousand sixteen
    at six o'clock
Our Lady of Something Catholic Church
    123 Something Road
    Town, New York

    Without the mass:

Mr. and Mrs. John George Doe
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
    Ghostie Marie
    and
    John James Smith
    son of
    Ms. Jane Ann Smith
    Mr. Michael Joseph Smith
Saturday, the twenty-fifth of June (etc.)
