I decided to be 15 minutes late and get some coffee!  Baby Kennedy is a fan of the half-caf latte, I think.

It's a dreary hump day here in MA. I think it's supposed to clear up after 11 though so that's nice. 

Last night BF and I went grocery shopping but I haven't been feeling too great so I didn't get much. I have been trying to drink half my weight in water, and in doing so, I have felt very bloated lately. The past two nights I haven't wanted much for lunch because I was feeling very full from the day, even though I didn't each much. Hopefully tonight I will not feel that way, or else I need to find a new way to get my water in.

I'm in a better mood today than I was the last 2 days so that's something. Although I'm not sure WTF I have to be happy about considering how many people voted for Donald Trump yesterday. 

I had a Devils game last night and our seats were very close to the ice but I like our normal ones better. And we lost so there's that. 

After work today, I have a dermatologist appointment about a weird thing on my arm and I'm meeting my aunt for a couple drinks. Then I have to  rush home because my house has become the location for weekly Survivor viewing parties and I'll probably drink more wine.

@caseface5 - This weather blows. How much water are you drinking? I've heard a good rule of thumb is to drink 1 oz of water for every kilogram you weigh.

I WFH yesterday and it was glorious! Not much else is going on. Ho hum. Come onnnnnn Friday!

@Swazzle - I wish it was Friday.  I have a home massage booked at 1:00.  I can't wait.

I hate that some of you are having horrible weather, but it's going to be 70 degrees today!!  This weather pattern looks like it's going to be around for at least a week or two.  I am so thankful, especially since we aren't going to CA next week.  At least it won't be crappy weather here!

Good morning! I'm so glad it's Wednesday. Yesterday felt like Friday to me, probably because it was casual day at the office (which is only ever on Friday) and H and I had dinner plans (which we usually only do on weekends). So I was a little bummed when I woke up to my alarm this morning.

We don't really have much going on tonight. This weekend we are going to Fredericksburg for my friend's b-day. Some of you might remember that H and I almost got stuck sharing a room with a girl (and her H) that none of us really like. I decided to tell my friend that rather than stay overnight, we'll just drive back home since it's only a 45-minute drive. She is totally ok with it, but the other couples all ended up staying for TWO nights which makes me feel like I'm missing out a little. I know H and I are trying to save money but it kind of sucks that we won't be there for very long. Then again, it's nice that we'll still have the rest of the weekend to relax, run errands, etc.

H and I also talked about taking a few mini-getaways this year since we're broke. He just texted me to say that the earliest he could get a 3-day weekend is in May, which is SO far away. Boo.

@swazzle - Hopefully the "thing" on your arm is nothing!
@CocoBellaF - We are having nice weather here too. I went out for lunch yesterday and the birds were chirping and the cherry blossom trees are blooming. Bring on spring!

@beachyone15 - All the bradford pear trees are blooming here!  Allergies are going through the roof, but I can't complain too much.  I love the warmer weather.

@cocobellaf - That sounds so amazing (the massage AND the weather)! It's going to be chilly the next few days here with a chance of snow on Friday but next week is going to be beautiful. We're supposed to hit 70 on Wednesday.

@Swazzle I'm not sure any of us have much to be pleased about today. I literally don't know anyone publicly supporting Trump....how is he winning?

Bonus - Bernie Sanders won in my county, just not the state so at least I know my vote meant something to him!

Anyway, we learned something exciting last night. There's a home in our neighborhood very similar to ours in size and features and it's pending sale! I won't know the final number until they close on April 15th....but if they sold for their asking price or anywhere within 10k of that price...H and I are going to list our home!!!! Soooooooooo I'm on a completely different path now with our planned home renovations...aka they are mostly cancelled with a few exceptions. We're going to replace the carpet still but we're definitely going with something even more generic, we aren't going to expand our wood floors into the living room, and we're pausing our bathroom renovation entirely with the exception of replacing the tile floor. So I've got a lot of things to do over the next month and a half!!!

@jenjen047 - I wish I was working from home today. My puppies looked extra sad & pathetic this morning, and I would have liked to have been able to stay on the couch with them.

It's SUPER windy here today - we have a wind advisory in effect till 4pm, for gusts up to 50 mph. I could feel my car getting pushed on the highway. 

My eyes are really annoying lately. I went to the eye doctor a couple weeks ago. She gave me a new pair of contacts (the same brand I had been wearing) and they have been bugging the hell out of me. Yesterday I had to take them out a couple of times throughout the day and rinse them because they were smudgy. Today I decided to wear my glasses, and my eyes are so watery!! Also, I tried to order contacts online (I used my vision insurance to get my glasses) on 1-800-Contacts, and I wanted to try a different brand because the ones I've been wearing are really expensive. They called me and said they couldn't complete the order because the ones I ordered were not the BRAND my doctor said.

I don't get it. The eye doctor can't tell me what brand of glasses to buy, just the correct lens prescription. So why is it any different with contacts?? As long as I'm getting the lens power that's on my script, shouldn't I be able to get whatever brand of contact I want?? I could scream.

I'm also horrified at Donald Trump and how many fucking supporters he has. H is certain he won't win the general election, but I'm not so sure. It's really scary. There are A LOT of really dumb people out there.

@beachyone15 - Thank you! I hope so too. I don't take any chances when it comes to skin shit, it's just not worth it, so to the doctor I go. May will be here before you know it! Will you do local mini getaways or fly?

@beachyone15 I think overall you'll be happier though than having to stay in a room with someone you can't stand. What kinds of weekend getaways are you thinking?

@CocoBellaF The weather is so horrible here today! It's in the 30s and extremely cold and windy! Luckily our weather next week looks like yours! Sunny and in the 70s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Garden here I come!!!

@caseface5 that sounds like a ridiculous amount of water, I never follow the "rules" or guidelines. I drink less than 1 water bottle a day and I've never been/felt dehydrated, so whatever lol

@jenjen047 are you guys doing any more planning for the summer/fall honeymoon?

Yesterday at my dentist appointment, I walked in and instantly was like "You got rid of the fish tank?! You've had that since I was 5- how could you?!!" LOL

Oh I ordered the baby's room décor last night! (don't know why, I don't like the term nursery because I feel like that's only for babies, and I'm trying to make the room classic so that it doesn't have to be changed much as s/he grows, so I think of it more as bedroom rather than nursery, not that it really matters and I'm just rambling haha) So hopefully that will arrive in a week or 2 and we can start setting it up!

@GoldenPenguin Ugh I hope it's just the contact lenses bothering you and you don't have some sort of underlying issue! That's so stupid that they won't prescribe you a different brand than your doctor ordered. What does it matter if the prescription is the same?

@jenna8984 - It went as expected.  No way to the CA trip, but she's allowing me to come in to work everyday and to church once a week.  I told her I only get 2500 steps at work, and she gave me a look and said, "that's a lot".  So...  yeah.  Besides that, bed rest.  No grocery shopping or anything like that, unless it's a short trip and I don't do any bending or lifting.  I go back in a month!

We got in the fabric samples for the crib bedding we're going to make, and my mom was able to find the expensive fabric on sale ($9.95/yd instead of $26.99/yd) so she ordered that and it should be in soon.  Yay!!

@TwoDimes - My massage therapist is awesome.  I texted her about the bed rest and she said that she would just come out to see me.  I'm so excited, not just for the massage, but for some human interaction outside of work.  Can't wait!

@labro - Neither do I which I really don't understand. Not one person on my FB or IRL has admitted to being a Trump supporter so I don't get it. And if you're so embarrassed to admit you're voting for someone, maybe you should rethink your life.

@GoldenPenguin - Sadly I don't think I'll get to it until Saturday. Tomorrow I have plans with coworkers and Friday I think H and I are having a date night out. Saturday seems like the earliest I can have a catch-up-on-all-my-shows day.

@swazzle and @labro - We will probably stay in Texas unless we can find a REALLY good deal on a flight somewhere (and trust me, I've been checking!) We are thinking of doing a weekend trip, maybe to Dallas and also doing a "stay-cation" at a really nice resort here in town. They have a lazy river! So we thought of maybe doing that mid-week (rather than on a weekend) this summer so it's less crowded, cheaper to stay, and feels more like a real vacation.

@labro - That's so crazy! Have you guys been thinking of moving? Did I miss something?

@jenna8984 - That's exciting!!!

@jenjen047 and @TwoDimes I have an app that was recommended by someone from Weight Watchers and it tells me to drink 96 ounces a day. I have only reached that goal one day since having the app. I usually get between 64 and 80.

@swazzle I don't think I've had more salt/sodium recently, but maybe. I will be mindful of it because I did read that online as a possibly. 

@labro Would you be moving locally?

As promised yesterday, I did a separate AW about our trip

Today is stupid snow but I was checking weather for next week and it'll be warmer. Yesssss!

Also I was doing some approx budgeting, and I think things will be good if the numbers I have are correct. Still waiting on some tax info, then we're having our taxes done
It's almost that time of year where I go through my stuff and debate what to keep and what to toss. I'm replacing a few things this year, so ideally not spending much.

Side note; we're seeing Deadpool this weekend finally!!

@jenna8984 - When do you find out the gender again? Also no, we haven't done any planning because we have to wait for all of H's immigration stuff to go through and it's taking longer than our lawyer expected so we are just stuck waiting. It's really fucking annoying and not fair. And it seems like the Boston office is the only one that is backed up. Other office seem to be processing at lightning speed.

RE: Trump. What the actual fuck?  I can't believe he won Massachusetts because I like to think the republicans here are fairly moderate and intelligent. I was wrong. I am legit scared that he could win the election.

Morning! Busy at work but I haven't been able to come chat yet this week so I wanted to say hi  

I'm really disappointed that Trump won in MA but honestly I'm not even that surprised. He's winning so many of the primaries but I kind of thought MA was better than that. I voted for Bernie and was sad to see that Hillary beat him. 
Unfortunately I have a LOT of people on my FB newsfeed that are Trump supporters. It makes me sick and I kind of wish I could just delete them all.

@CocoBellaF @caseface5 It would 100% be a local move. Our home value has risen pretty significantly since we bought it a few years ago and we've always said that if we can sell if for at least x amount we'll move. This house in our neighborhood is selling for far above our x amount minimum so depending on what their selling price is, we'll likely hire a realtor and list asap sometime in April or May.

@TwoDimes This house is my new dream home! 

@GoldenPenguin I will move to NY if you can promise that winter will go away!!!

ETA: Throw a golden retriever puppy in to the deal and we might have something here.

Callie had a much better day yesterday, her cough and stuffy nose are starting to clear up. She didn't STTN but she slept longer than she did last weekend. I only had to wake up with her at 3:00 and she went back to sleep at 4:00 and slept for another hour and was up for the day.

My MIL is coming over tonight for dinner...this means that I will actually get to cook at a decent hour because DH and his mom can play with Callie and give her a bath while I get dinner ready.

@labro I know right?! He said that it cost $1,000 a month to clean and maintain and bring in new fish. I was like soooo what's your point? lol. Wow, why are you looking to sell? I'm sure because you'd make a nice profit but how far can that go on a new home? Inventory is still sooo low that it might be hard finding something in a higher budget? That happened to us anyways, there were tons of starter homes like the 1 we sold, and half million dollar homes on the market but nothing in between at the level we wanted, which had the highest demand.
