@AlPacina I love that Michael spends the entire show not realizing he's as terrible and selfish as all his family members. They really put the fun in dysfunction. Oh god, and Tobias! I just blue myself! I really need to watch that show again. I haven't since Netflix released season 4... season 4 was so terrible that I avoided watching it for a while. Re: H-- I'll keep an eye on him. He's not one to go home early or take it easy, but I'll be a nag and make him. I'm soooo glad the wreck wasn't worse!

@eilis1228 - When BF does make it home for a visit, we usually spend one night staying up until ungodly hours binging on entire seasons of Arrested Development, Archer, or Game of Thrones.  Much pizza and wine has been consumed with much laughter.

@everybody - Thanks for all the support.  I'm feeling a little more encouraged (although maybe it's just that I've been distracted because I actually have to teach today).  Plus I did manage to go for a lunchtime run which always lifts my spirits.  Especially because I was representing my Cubbies and my alma mater and taking pictures with lions:

Today is my Friday! So excited. Even though it was only a 3 day work week, I am beat! I can't wait for this month to be over and April to come...and the GTG! Tomorrow I have to drop off my car to an autobody shop because I messed up my bumper parking outside of my house...big mistake on my part  

Plans for the weekend are pretty tame. Hopefully I can clean my house and relax a bit. Nothing really going on for Easter. 

I will definitely read up on everyone else's day and weekend plans in a lil bit. I miss being here so much!

@MissKittyDanger - Jessica Walter is the lady from Archer and Arrested Development. Jessica Lange is also awesome, but they're not the same person. I totally recommend AHS specifically for JL's acting though!

@minskat30 I managed to get through this dental appointment without drugs or alcohol! I'm proud of myself. I always have this fear they will need to drill all my teeth.

@labro Purim was fun, they read the Book of Esther and whenever you hear the names of the heroes (Esther and Mordecai) you cheer and applaud and every time the bad guy's name (Haman) is said you boo and make noise. Each chapter had an intro in English said by volunteers from the crowd so we knew what was going on, then the Rabbi read everything in Hebrew. Luckily I'm not the only one that gets lost, every service I've been to BF loses his place and for some reason turns to me to try to figure out where we should be and I know exactly nothing in Hebrew. The costumes were the best part, Rabbi was wearing a Superman outfit. A guy there was in a Chewbacca onesie, a girl was dressed as a ketchup bottle, I went for a 20s Downton Abbey vibe in a lace dress and a fake bob because BFs mom said she was going to dress that way, so we sort of were coordinated. His Dad wore a cowboy hat, and Bf had on a sports jersey. Then we ate awesome pastries!

My dentist visit went well! Both my hygienist and the dentist said I have beautiful teeth and very healthy gums, so yay. I always freak out beforehand, but I really have the best dental people in town. The hygienist is so careful (and thorough). My old hygienist (who made me fear dental visits) was a freakin satanist. She would stab the shit out of my gums and tell me I needed to floss more because I was bleeding BECAUSE SHE WAS CUTTING ME.

I treated myself to lunch and ice cream at one of my favorite local downtown businesses afterward. I had an espresso sundae... which is a scoop of ice cream with espresso poured on top, with whipped cream and sprinkles. It was heaven. 

I finally know that I have my work hearing tomorrow so I am spending the rest of the afternoon preparing for that. I'm not too worried about it but I like being super prepared. Plus it's fun to make the "other side" get all annoyed and flustered because of my mad skillz. 

Wait, nevermind. As I was typing the last paragraph I got an email that an agreement was reached and now I don't have to go to hearing. Hah!

And since starting the last sentence I've had seriously 5 phone calls. One of which was my director because she had no idea was was going on from all the back and forth emails (she's been in a meeting the past 2 hours). Honestly I don't really know what's going on either, just that I now need to send a bunch of documentation to the staff lawyer for write up. My job gets really exciting sometimes. I love accounting!

It seriously took me over an hour to type the last two paragraphs due to the constant interuptions. I'm ready for a beverage!

I don't know if you've heard of Astoria, OR, but it's where the Goonies house is. In that town, they put on this yearly play where everyone in the audience has a bag of popcorn and when the bad guy comes on stage you boo and throw it at him. I've always loved that!

ETA: To clarify, I loved it when everyone ELSE did it. I was busy eating mine.
