Help! I fell in love with this dress, but I need to cover my arms and shoulders during the mass. I'm not sure what would go with it.

Has your priest outright said "no strapless"?  If not - do nothing but be kind to the guy and choose something for the bridesmaids that they can sit in a pew and not look naked in wedding photos from the back of them. 

Just posting this site to get ideas (yea yea yea - some people here absolutely hate this site I get it) but something like this that would coordinate with your veil (not nearly that bold of a trim because it'd clash with your dress) - you should be able to have the bridal shop you've ordered the dress through to order extra dress fabric and you can have your seamstress/you quickly make something like this that could easily be taken off after the ceremony...

This is easy.  Check amazon for "bridal lace shrugs".  You wear it for the ceremony and take it off for the reception.

Another vote for wearing a shrug. Wear it for the ceremony, remove for reception. No alterations needed.

When I was investigating adding straps/cap sleeves to my strapless dress, one option my seamstress offered was detachable so that I could wear them for certain parts. Might be something to look into. My dress was ordered with extra length to allow for the fabric to be used for this.
