I can't watch anything with barking dogs on it...even commercials...Raj goes nuts barking at the TV in response.  I swear he is beautiful but not so bright....lol

@cu97tiger here's 2 of my drawers. It's amazing- you don't have to dig for anything and you remember your options since you can see them all! Plus you can see which you never wear after a while and ditch them.

Tuesday is not so beautiful down here. We will have severe weather tonight, and the temperature is perfect for tornadoes. @CocoBellaF is in an area with the greatest chance for severe weather, so hopefully she and her H are OK tonight!

I finished my cousin's baby quilt last night, but I'm not very happy with it. Even though this is my 4th quilt, I made a ton of newbie mistakes with it. I messed up a lot of stuff that I've done correctly previously, which makes me embarrassed to give it as a gift to my new baby cousin (who, by the way, was partially named after me! Well, not just me... my first name is a family name, and her middle name is a version of my first name, so in a way, she's named after me. Pretty cool!). Anyway, I'm sure the quilt looks fine, but I'm feeling insecure about it.

@audrewuh and I made plans to do a Friends trivia night at a local bar this weekend. I am so excited! I feel like I need to study all week to prepare.

I also need to work on some job application stuff this week. I mentioned it yesterday in passing, but after talking with one of my coworkers, I decided that I should update my resume and start applying to jobs that look appealing to me. Just seems like the smart thing to do given my company's current financial predicament. *sigh* I loathe job searching. The only upside is that I can be picky since I'm currently employed.

Ugh, I am blah today.  Just not feeling well, physically or emotionally.  I didn't sleep well last night and I'm still anxious about the bad news from BF's company.  Plus, I got news last night that I didn't even make the first cut for one of the dream jobs that I applied to.  So it's just one thing right after another.

I teach today, but mostly we're watching movies...it's the last week of classes and so my U.S. students are watching Forrest Gump and I'm trying to boost my spirits by eating comfort food.

A woman in my department and I are both wearing the same Stitch Fix sweater today... I knew that she had the same one and as I put it on this morning I wondered if she would wear it too since it was such a gross, gloomy day. This is the first time I've ever been "twinning" with anyone at work... Too funny!

@eilis1228 DH is still doing CrossFit and I'm doing Insanity and/or running. It's definitely not the same. Yesterday I did some weight lifting and it was rough. It's crazy how quickly you can lose muscle mass.

@eilis1228 - Storms are already popping up, so it definitely could be an outbreak kind of day.  I'll probably leave early this afternoon because it takes a long time for a fat pregnant lady and 2 pups to get into a shelter by themselves.    Baxter will walk down the stairs, but Bella won't so I'll have to somehow get her down there.  Might put her harness on her and lower her down with a leash?  Hmmmm.

@cocobellaf I know tornadoes are no joking matter but I'm totally picturing you as pregnant Dorothy trying to hold the pup and open the shelter door with the wind whipping!  Is yours separate from the house like that, or just your basement?

@CocoBellaF UGH I hate this time of year. You should definitely go home early and hang out with the pups in the shelter. I wish we had shelters here!

@southernpeach89 I agree, it's crazy how quickly we lose muscle mass. It's so frustrating because it takes so long to build up, but then it's gone within a few weeks. 

@beachyone15 H told me he's going to wait to make claims on hail damage because we know there will be a lot more before the season is over. I hate that you guys keep getting pummeled by it. 

@KeptInStitches Despite the hangover, it sounds like you guys had a wonderful anniversary.

Hi Everyone. Sorry I was MIA yesterday, I stayed home "sick". I was truly just exhausted because we have been puppy sitting. We are watching our friend's dog Piper and she is a year old lab. Her and Tessie don't really know when to stop, so things have been crazy. We also don't think her parents discipline her, so it's been tough. You have to watch her like a hawk outside because she likes to find random things and eat them.

So far we have taken away from her a 2x2 piece of wood, a ceramic lawn ornament, a piece of metal, and a part of a ceramic pot. Things she has eaten and thrown up include a hair tie and a foot of a toy. 

BF is beside himself this week, and has been stressing out to the max. Tess is his baby and he can't even pet her without getting Piper fired up and then they go hard playing and it's hard to get them to stop. 

They do sit for treats and eventually crash from being tired. Plus, they are both so damn cute I can't help but to love them!!










@minskat30 You're such a good mom to Raj. I'm sure he loves being spoiled and will be just fine. It's totally normal to worry though.

@jenna8984 - We don't have basements here, the ground isn't conducive for them.  We have a tornado shelter.  Ours looks like this: LINK  It's in the garage.  H said he went ahead and set up the stairs for me, so hopefully it won't be too bad!  Getting out will be a problem.

@PamBeesly524 - March, April, and May is our stormy season.  And we generally have a a really good notice, so a lot of schools are letting out early so everyone can get home.  It's not that you get used to it...  but you kind of get used to the routine.  I still get so scared I want to vomit when we're in there and it's locked and we know that it's close by and you can feel the pressure popping your ears.  Eep!

Looks like my area was just upgraded on the likelihood of severe weather tonight, meaning we will almost certainly have tornadoes, hail, etc. Joy. I'll probably leave work a little early so I can get home before the storm and rearrange the garage so my car will fit.

Spring is just lovely here.

@jenna8984 - You know when you're in an airplane and the air pressure changes and you feel it all inside your head?  It's like that.  And if it's really close, you'll feel the ground vibrating and you'll hear it.  

ETA:  The part I hate most is the tornado sirens.  They put the fear of God in me!
