Definitely not a fixer upper, we're not very handy lol Matt can do basic things now that he has a book that would show him the know-how. 3 bed, full bath, half bath, unfinished basement {which I'm going to talk to my uncle about helping with how to finish it} All hardwood done, mudroom, garage, walk-in closet. Small backyard but it backs on to a huge field that has a park in viewing distance. Once I know more info on the sitch, I'll prob AW the realtor photos. {without the number obv lol}

@wink0erin the 20% situation is similar here, but even our mortgage specialist said it wouldn't make a huge difference for us.

@southernpeach89 I'm so glad you had a great time on Thursday and Friday! Your winery trip with @GoldenPenguin, Mr. Penguin, and @labro sounds amazing! I'm sorry to hear about Saturday and Sunday-- that's awful! I'm so so sorry that you and your H were put in such a terrible position, and I hate that it all happened in front of Callie too. Sounds like you guys made the best decision for your family, but it's definitely not an easy decision to make. I hope you and your H are ok. Big hugs!

It's taken me over an hour just to type those responses, and I'm sure there have been a lot more posts in that time, so I'm sorry for not getting back to everyone. 

My weekend was great! On Friday H kept going back and forth on whether or not he was going to be working late, but then he showed up at normal time lol. We went to our favorite tex-mex restaurant for dinner and grabbed dessert at our favorite ice cream place next door. We vegged the rest of the night and were super lazy. I think I was in bed before midnight.

Saturday we slept in, and it was glorious. Unfortunately we both were suuuuper cranky most of the day, and we bickered off and on basically all day. We got my car washed, dropped Zoey off at my parents' house, ate lunch at like 3, went to Half Price Books, and then met up with our friends and headed to the baseball game. We tailgated for like an hour, which we thought was a ridiculously short time to tailgate, and then we went to our seats just as the game started. It was so good! We hit a grand slam, the game went into an extra inning, and we won with a last-minute homer. So good! However, yesterday afternoon's game involved a HUGE brawl on the diamond, so I wish we'd gone to that game instead.

Yesterday H cleaned the apartment while I went with my mom, cousin, and aunt to a formal tea party as a belated Mother's Day celebration. We had so much fun! Afterwards I hung out with my mom and step-dad at their apartment and then Zoey and I went to our friend's place to watch Game of Thrones. 

Tonight I need to get groceries... we didn't get a chance to go this weekend, and we are out of mostly everything. I don't even know what I'm going to eat for lunch today... @audrewuh is coming over to sew tonight too, which should be fun. I haven't sewed in like a month, so it will be nice to get back into it.

H and I spent most of the weekend fighting. We finally both got our issues out in the open - he doesn't know how to deal with my job insecurity and doesn't know how to make me feel better (spoiler alert: there aren't good answers), so he quit even doing the bare minimum around the house because nothing made me happy. I felt unloved (one of my love languages is acts of service) and it compounded when my birthday gifts were late (the other is gifts). It all came to a head over the weekend. All I can hope is that we're making progress.

Otherwise I watched my brother graduate college on cable, then went to the restaurant to get a table, only to learn he could have made a reservation and didn't. It's petty, but it's just another way they jerk me around. He's moving this week and I should be sad he's leaving, but he's been everyone's favorite for so long that mostly I'm just hoping my mom remembers she had another kid.

So on not-drama llama notes, I almost completely finished grading exams. I have one person in each class who's holding me up (distance students), but if they're not in by tomorrow at 11 a.m., incomplete grades. Everyone else figured it out.

Today H is going to Captain America after work and I'm going to find things around the office to do. Then we'll make dinner - oh yeah! That was the good thing from this weekend! We made our first BA dinner - BBQ chicken pizza. OMG it was amazing, but we're going to cut the chicken smaller next time. It was like chicken chunks.

@KeptInStitches Ugh, I'm sorry you had a rough weekend in between fighting with your H and your family being special snowflakes. Hopefully talking things out with your H will help improve your relationship going forward.

I'm having a similar "WTF" moment today too. I don't want to go into too much detail on here, but the short version is a coworker and I overheard our HR reps trashing us (by name) and our boss. Things were said about other people in the company and the company overall, so it wasn't just us, but this conversation lasted a good 30 minutes. My blood is boiling right now.

@speakeasy14 Nope. It was the new HR rep and the HR rep who is willingly leaving on June 1. The new HR rep, who has been here for all of 3 weeks, was the one initiating all the criticism.

Pregnant Jokes

@jenna8984 - I'm sorry your coworker made a joke like that. I did that last year to a pregnant friend/coworker of mine and felt like such an asshole afterward. Now I feel like a dick again, and it was probably 6 months ago, haha. I might just have to go tell her how pretty she looks today.

Wedding Stuff

I really want to tell you girls about my hair stylist's daughter's upcoming wedding because it's absolutely insane. Some of her mom's highlights:

- Her daughter is already married (they did a secret courthouse ceremony soon after the engagement), and she doesn't want her mom to tell anyone else, including family, because it will make the "wedding day" (PPD) less special.

- Family members are making the food for the reception. The MOG keeps inviting everyone she sees at her country club without actual invitations or RSVPs for them. My stylist is worried there won't be enough food.

- She got her bridesmaid dresses from a friend who cancelled her wedding. The dresses are all petite sizes, so she LEGIT chose her bridesmaids based on who would fit in the dresses. "Not a size 0? Nope."

- Aaaaand the bride loves llamas, so there will be two llamas dressed like a bride and groom hanging out.

Scotland

Speaking of weddings, we're invited to a wedding in Scotland in 2018! I'm really freaking excited it's so far out, because it gives us time to save, but I can't believe the couple will have been engaged for 3 years at that point! I've always wanted to visit Scotland. Yay!

I don't think I know anyone who fits in a 0 and I know lots of petite women.... and the llamas... because yes let's get spit on and smell animal crap while dressed up for something where they may not even be food.  But I guarantee the llamas will be fed.  Please tell me you told your stylist she should be warning everyone she cares about.

I did criticize the PPD part of it. And you could tell my stylist was super upset about that part in particular. However, she thought the bridesmaid dress thing was hilarious. I was shocked!

@AlPacina A wedding in Scotland sounds SO COOL! Scotland g2g 2018???? Way cooler than a PPD wedding with llamas and bridesmaids picked for their waistlines. Ugh...I feel sorry for your stylist and I don't since she doesn't seem to be bothered by some of this stuff.
