Escort Cards and Favors - edibles

Thinking of doing Hershey bars as our escort cards...wrap them in gold wrapping paper and tie a tag on with cream ribbon, handwriting name and table number. I figure I could wrap all of the bars in advance and write out names on tags for people we know are coming...even table numbers for some of those people, and then do the rest in the weeks before the wedding.

MOH and FMIL also suggested, since I'm a baker, to do a cute baked good as a takeaway. Our venue does Starbucks to go at the end, so we were thinking of a brownie sampler (mini pieces in each box of a regular brownie, confetti brownie, smores and maybe an oreo brownie)...also easy enough to do bc everything can be made in advance and frozen, would just need to package/wrap everything a few days before and bridesmaids are volunteering to help with that.

Looking for any opinions on this :)

Baked goods and candy bars are fine as favors, but I would not use candy bars as escort cards. That could get very messy - especially if the candy bars melt.

I would use paper cards as escort cards. As long as they clearly indicate which tables guests should be seated at, they can be made to match your decor or theme as you see fit.

I love the brownie sampler idea. The Hershey bar escort cards sounds cute but not necessary. I say if you end up with extra time at the end and want to do it, go for it. Don’t feel bad though if you find yourself swamped at the end and don’t get to it.

I think both ideas sound great!

People will appreciate a treat - whatever it is. I would make it easy on yourself and do the bar. You could get those done a week in advance. If you commit to doing homemade stuff, you're committing to hours and hours of work in the day or two before your wedding.

But just personally, I think there are much better cheap chocolate options than Hershey's (e.g. Dove, Lindt, etc.).
