Fathers Attire

Hi everyone, 
  We went to set up the tuxs for the groom and groom's men today.  The gentleman helping us said that the fathers should be in tuxs also.  My dress is not fancy.  It is simple elegant.  I was thinking of the fathers in suits, not tuxs.  The guy helping us sort of sold my fiancee on the tuxs for the dads.  What do you guys think?  It is a church wedding with reception to follow.

    my dad wore his tux. i don't ever recall going to a wedding where the FOTB didn't wear one.

    Ditto to previous poster. 

    In fact, we just literally returned from the tux place ourselves... dad will be in the same tux coat and pants as the GM, but chose a different shirt/vest/tie to his liking (and with a little help from my mom to match her dress a bit haha).
