    I had mine back in August, about 2 months after we got engaged (and exactly 20 months before the wedding).  Ours was really casual, just close friends and family at my parent's house.

    I haven't had one yet and I've been engaged for a year and 3 months!! Maybe its too late for me!

    I haven't had one yet I thought it would be better to have it a year out from the wedding date. We are going to have our engagement party around the same weekend as the acutal date YEA!!!
