Something instead of bubbles or bird feed

I am looking for something to do as we leave the church after the ceremony other than bubbles or bird seed. Any ideas?

We are having wedding wands. We are getting married in a botanical garden so throwing anything is not allowed.

my friends this summer did those confetti poppers where you pull the string and confetti pops out. we got 120 for 15$. we covered them in tissue paper, wrapped a wide band of ribbon, then a thin band of ribbon  on top of that and glued a pearl dot to the front on the ribbon. not sure if that makes sense written out. they looked cute like little champagne bottles almost. everyone just had to tear off the tip of the paper to pull the string. we left the bottoms uncovered so the confetti could pop out. not every venue allows them though.

I'm having a december wedding and I am using fake snow.  Its biodegradable and just kinda melts away when it gets wet.  You can get all colors of enviro-friendly confetti and it makes for nice pics because it flutters to the ground.
