DIY invitations- printer

I am planning on making my invitations- have people used their own printer or gotten them printed at a shop? I'm afraid my little ink jet won't be able to take it! TIA

i used my little $60 canon printer and printed mine on 5x7 white cardstock.

i used my inkjet as well. you can take them to kinkos too, just be aware that most places wont print on pre cut paper... so bring your full sheet paper to be printed on and cut afterwards.PIB of mine

I actually work at Office Depot and we do printing on invites. If they have straight or fray edges, the printing is easy. If they are anything else the printer will run them through sideways and screw them up. There is always a way to make it work though.

It was my experience that the little ink jet worked much better than my printer at work.GL!

We are using the ink jet printer at my Mom's office. So far it has worked well.

It all depends on how good and how old your printer is. Some printers aren't capable of printing smaller sheets without printing crooked (like your rsvp's), some can handle it fine. If you are using cut cardstock, in that scenario, you may want to wait to cut it until after they are printed and print 4 on the uncut sheeet. Some photo printers also don't print text very well (blurry or jagged edges). Having them professionally printed is always a safer option and is always less of a headache. You should always try some test sheets of each of your pieces before you commit to anything if you want to try it out at home. Reneehttp://www.artzyfartzyinvites.com
