Inexpensive reception venue - 200 people, prefer indoor/outdoor

Hi Everyone,
My best friend is getting married and they want to do a reception for family and friends in Houston.  The preferences is to have an indoor/outdoor venue and they are on a budget.  Does anyone know of any venues that can hold 200 people that might work?

Not sure what your version of inexpensive is, but we got married at Petroleum Club and had 250 guests

You should take a look at www.TownHallTexas.com. 5 miles east of The Woodlands mall. Rustic/western venue, 10 acres, 3,000sqft barn, 1.5 acre pond - 2 outdoor ceremony sites (1 is located on an island in the middle of the pond (seats up to 150). $6,498 for up to 100($15/ea after 100) guests for all day Saturday. They are flexible and can work with you on the rate, etc. Although the hall only seats 150, they have 10 acres and an outdoor reception with DJ/dancing, buffet food line and bar served inside the barn would be amazing!  Good luck!

Also look at Silver Star Ranch/Fire & Ice Hall in Montgomery. You get the whole place all day

They fit up to 200. You can bring in all your own vendors and you have it for the whole day.

They can do food but my family owns a BBQ catering company in Montgomery so we are using them.

Tuscan Courtyard in Texas City can hold 250 guests. They are a new venue that opened this year. They have 2 outdoor ceremony sites and a newly constructed ballroom. They have packages starting around $10K that include food, tables and chairs, linens, DJ, and cake, and they have specials running a lot, as well as discounts for non-Saturday events. The event coordinator is one of the sweetest people you could work with, so she'll be able to help you out with whatever you need.
