any dog lovers here?

Hey Houston Ladies! I found a stray dog yesterday and I'm desperately in need of a home for him. He's well behaved and gets along with other dogs, but because of his age 6, abcs a gimpy leg, all of the major dog shelters said they would just euthanize him. Any ideas for anyone I can contact? I'm trying everything so I figured I might as well try you guys, too. TIA!!!!

    What kind of dog is he? You might could try a rescue org for his specific breed.

    He's a German Shepherd mix, and the rescues won't take him since he's not purebred. Very frustrating!!!

    Try CAPS on I-10. They are a no-kill shelter and have the highest adoption rate in Houston. Some vet clinics will take stray dogs in and help find them a home.

    Also try putting a picture of him on facebook. Someone on there may be able to give him a good home.
