Place Cards

I only have 14 days left till the wedding and I don't know what I should do with the place cards. I need opinions, do they look bad if they were just hand writen? I don't have much time to get them to a calligrapher.

I think handwritten is great as long as your writing is easy to read.  This would stress me out and I would end up rewriting them.  Have you considered printing them?

I've considered printing them but the place cards have the thermography printing so I don't know how it would look.

Oh I see your concern. Handwriting is likely your best option and maybe you can recruit a family member to help. They will be beautiful!

I agree - handwritten looks good, as long as penmenship is good.  it's shows a personal touch to the day.

I agree- I think handwritten is fine. I would recruit someone in your family with nice penmenship. They can do a few a night over the next two weeks- since you're hand would get tired doing a lot all at once and they might start to not look cohesive.

I did hand written for mine and they looked just fine! Splurge and get a nice felt pen from Michael's that matches your wedding colors (but is still dark enough to be read). PP is right - it's a nice personal touch to your day! Do a few a night so your hand doesn't get tired and it really isn't overwhelming at all.

I just got married this past weekend and did calligraphy on my thermography printed escort cards less than a week before the wedding. I would try if you wanted to, because mine got them to me within 2 days. Good luck!

Thank you everyone!!!  Come to find out one of my maids works with a guy that does calligraphy so he said he would do them for me!!! I'm excited!!!
