Has anyone been to or had a wedding at the Botanical Gardens?  FI and I visited yesterday to see if we liked for an engagement picture site, but it was so beautiful that now we are thinking of possibly having our ceremony there.  Anyone have any input, good or bad?

Hi!!!! 

My ceremony and reception will be at the Botanical Center this October!  Now that I'm really into planning and have booked most vendors, I've gotten tons of info about the venue. In fact, Morin's is my caterer and Laura chose to be my coordinator specifically because she loves the Botanical Center so much...and was married there herself.

Heather the point of contact for the Botanical Center (and RW Casino) can answer most questions...When I called to set up a meeting, she even told me to visit that weekend while the site was being set up for a wedding so I could get a feel for it first hand... Then we met a week later.

Do you have any specific questions?

I was interested in the Botanical Gardens as well. Could you tell me what their capacity is? And what the rates are? Do they provide tables and chairs?

I'm not sure what the exact capacity is, since we're not coming close to the number, but I've heard that trying to fit more than 130ish people in there and it starts to get tight.

The cost is $3385 or $3885 depending on whether or not you're doing the ceremony there and if you want a little extra time.

Tables and chairs have to be rented, as well as a tent for the caterer you choose, so they have a covered area to prepare your food and work out of.
