Tipping Vendors!

Tipping Vendors is one thing I forgot to budget for! Luckily there is room to add and adjust the budget.

Anyone care to share their method for tipping? Is it standard 15-25% like tipping your waiter when you go out to eat?

It depends on which vendor.  It doesn't seem like it but if the DJ is good, they run the event.  Everyone goes to them with questions and they are dealing with your guests.  I normally do 15% to 25% for them.  All others is normally only 10%.  This is all assuming you liked them.  The other you can do is make sure you leave them reviews.  Two best sites are theknot and weddingwire.com.  This will help them get more business in the future.

I was a wedding planner for years and this is what I always would tell my clients but anything is better than nothing.  If you don't feel they did a good job make sure you tell them and see if they will do anything for you.  If they don't leave them a bad review.  This hurts more then anything.

    Good luck.
