Narragansett Brides

I made a smiliar post a few days ago but only got one response...My FI and I want to have our ceremony outside.  We were planning/hoping to do a ceremony and cocktail hour in the courtyard of The Towers.  I'm getting the impression we only can rent the courtyard for an hour and I want to leave wriggle room in case things run late, and I don't want a 40 min cocktail hour.

Does anyone know of an outdoor ceremony location relatively close by?

Thank you!

Re: Narragansett Brides

  • is your reception at the towers? what about the gazebo that is close by? you can do i on the beach but its a public beach & there is no way to control the publicl. Its a public space but I'm sure you can be in the court yard for longer than 1 hour.

  • The gazebo is definitely an option. I think there's a small fee to reserve it. I'd call Narragansett Town office to find out!
  • Why not ask kate if you can use the courtyard for more than an hour,. You might have to pay extra for an extra 1/2 hour but it could be worth it. You could also do it on teh lawn located next to the courtyard, or as someone else said do it at the gazebo.
do you have a rain plan?

If not, I suggest South Ferry Church. We were married there and LOVED it.

Give her time. Sometimes it takes her a little while to respond. Is your reception at the towers? How long are you looking to rent the courtyard?

  • Is your Reception at the towers? I believe that they would extend it for over an hour, it just might cost more. Good luck!

<div>Are you having a reception? The towers outside is wonderful . all them and ask, I really do not think they wouldn't agree to more time. Unless of course something else is planned but I doubt it. Problem with the gazebo is I don't think they will allow cocktails there.</div><div>

  • They don't allow cocktails at the gazebo (at least they didn't a few years ago).  You can have the ceremony there.  I forgot if there was power for a DJ or not but most DJ's will rent a generator if needed but tell them upfront if you think it's an issue.  You do pay extra money if everything is not in the same room.  I was a wedding planner but I just started to plan my bff's wedding for her.  I'm using the DJ I recommended to everyone and I used at my own wedding.  DJ MaShane (http://www.djmashane.com) They can probably answer the power question if you needed to know for planning.  I would recommend having wireless mics so people can hear the vows.  A lot of the time you can't hear because of the background noise.
    Good luck!
